You two are right - it's strange timing. But I think the U.S. also knows that Israel is vulnerable right now and has threatened Iran with full intervention, including a massive bombing campaign. I can't imagine the U.S. allowing Iran, of all countries, to force Israel into submission. It's unthinkable. Just think about it.

I don't think Americans can just do 'massive bombing' of Iran without very serious consequences for America and its allies in that region. If Biden was humiliated for 13 body bags from Afghanistan in August 2021, the think of what would 1000 body bags do to the Trump presidency??

Israel is a habitual aggressor, genocidal anti-Muslim state. So I would say it would indeed be righteous to tackle Israel, just like it was righteous of America to attack the Nazis in WW2.

Procure advanced tech from China on an urgent basis.
Repair what needs repairing.

Of course Iran has to be careful because US satellites will be watching to see what Iran repairs and everything else.

China doesn't want to incur US/UN sanctions, its not that easy to supply military capability to Iran without facing consequences. Even the mighty Russians couldn't do it and still won't do it after burning all its bridges with the West over Ukraine.
