Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

A lot of oil and gas but it would appear their oil and gas infrastructure was also attacked that will require a lot US dollars to repair.

How much will it cost to rebuilt the oil infrastructure ? Maybe 3-4 billion $. Add 20 billion $ worth of weapons from China. Iran can easily sign a deal worth $30 billion of oil with china for all this.

But Iran lost a lot of aura points by not including Gaza in the ceasefire, even though the last attack was deliberately exaggerated to make Israel break ceasefire
They didn't negotiate anything, this seems like same strategy trumpy used with Pak & India.

After World War I, France adopted a strategy to deter Germany by strengthening alliances with Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Belgium to prevent German revenge.
However, when Germany began its territorial expansion, France allowed the annexation of its ally, Czechoslovakia.
The following year, when Germany invaded Poland, France declared war only in name but again stood by and did nothing.
This stance caused Belgium, the remaining ally, to lose trust in France, distance itself, and, with unity fractured, Germany invaded France the year after Poland, leading to France’s surrender in just one month.

Now, do you understand what I’m saying?
Iran abandoning its allies was the same catastrophic mistake as France, and it led to a de facto surrender in just two weeks.
Your argument that proxy wars should be stopped is historically incorrect.
The West, knowing from bitter history that proxy wars are the path to peace, fully supports its allies and wages proxy wars with all its might.
You should learn from history.

Trump's strong language a sign of how frustrated he's become

I spend most of my days at the White House, and I’m often part of the press pool or travelling with President Donald Trump on his trips around the US.

Rarely – if ever – have I seen him using the sort of language he used this morning.

Trump tends to reserve his angrier moments for Truth Social. He’s a man who likes to, at least publicly, keep the image of a cool, calculated dealmaker, and on the few occasions I’ve seen him snap in front of the media, it’s been at reporters for “stupid” or “ridiculous” questions.

His use of an expletive in front of the world’s cameras on the South Lawn of the White House are perhaps a sign of how frustrated he’s become with the two warring parties, with Israel seemingly – for now – facing the brunt of his anger.

Trump has repeatedly vowed that he will bring an end to conflicts, including in Gaza and Ukraine.

More recently, we’ve seen him pivot to claim credit for ending fighting between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and between India and Pakistan. Those conflicts, however, were largely far from the mind of most Americans.

In the eyes of the administration, a ceasefire between Iran and Israel will be – or would have been – a crowning foreign policy achievement that would have allowed him to point to a significant victory, particularly if coupled with an end to Iran’s nuclear programme that was helped along by US bombers.

Already last night, we saw figures from within the White House loudly praise Trump’s “peace”. But for now, he appears to be flustered and angry that it’s not taking place.
I don't blame him, I would be frustrated too if I were in his shoes.

Within years, like two to three years, they will be ready if we help them. We should make ties stronger. We can help them in so many areas. It's necessary for our own security in this region.

BTW, in case we haven't noticed: The way the air warfare has evolved, getting older fighter jets is not going to cut it for major players. Powerful modern jets are needed between peer powers, powerful integrated air defense system needed, continuous training and assessment needing, satellites, electronic defense... things which Pravin Swaheny has been talking about for years in the context of China+Pakistan vs India conflict.
And I think getting 4+ gen fighter jets is not going to be easy for most countries due to production concerns. I think India is already feeling the pinch despite its deep pockets.

Stop dragging Pakistan into the conflict ffs.
  • If Pakistan aligns militarily with Iran, we risk becoming internationally isolated.
  • From that point on, we’ll be walking around with a target on our back — strategically, economically, and politically.
  • We’d be joining a bloc that has never shown us loyalty or reliability in the past.
  • Iran openly supports sectarian Shia militias that kill Sunnis, all while claiming to fight oppression.
  • These same groups have stirred unrest in Balochistan, threatening our own internal stability.
  • Even if their war with Israel was right, backing forces like Iran is a direct threat to our national security.
  • Taking Iran’s side could lead to crippling sanctions, damage our economy, and destroy Pakistan’s image globally.

As a Pakistani citizen, you should care about the lives and future of Pakistanis — not Iranians.
