Good post, Iran now has an opportunity to complete change its socioeconomic situation with national unity achieved temporarily, I hope the mullahs are smart.

They should let it become a normal republic but guide it so it keeps the values of the ayatollahs and not the expats who some of them look like total sell outs, completely 5th gen warfare conquered. They would hand Iran to Israel on a platter and country would be looted.

Taliban have the same issue in Afghanistan.

It's fascinating how both countries are so alike. Iranian society is a lot more developed than Afghan society. They should just go for the transition because its one less attack vector the west can aim at.

Iran has solid AD designs, but it needs to protect them from insider ATGMs/drones and produce them in bigger numbers. But HQ-19 or S-400 would always be beneficial to mix the IADS and shuffle Iranian systems with Chinese and Russian ones, just like China does with its HQ-9 and S-400

Given that no Israeli jets were shot down anywhere(3-4 large drones), i think Iran needs to be pragmatic over how effective the local AD designs are, and what gaps they may need to plug externally. They will need to supplement local designs, with external procurement from China ( and not Russia because their stuff just doesn't work !!! ) to close capability gaps.

- Pakistan has a reliable lifeline in China
- Pakistan is not threatening to nuke Israel

- Pakistan is totally different gravy military-wise
- Pakistan only gets dangerous if it becomes unstable aka the military is weakened.

The lesson here is that global south should unite for the benefit of their people and respective countries. We have seen how the absence of a strong bloc helps the established bloc of EU or NATO for that purpose.

I really liked what our DGISPR said that we can all grow together instead of trying to hurt each other.

Shit like this happens. It happened after indo-pak war. Drones were flying, many "legacy" drones still on autopilot, not knowing where to go. Perhaps some sleeper cells haven't got the message, perhaps some inside Iran trying to sabotage the ceasefire. It will cool down after a few days.

Anyone using the term surrender is disingenuous.

Strategic Iranian victory, as they managed to not only survive an attempted regime change, but they managed to both hit Israel hard, and did not compromise on their nuclear ambitions.

We have to wait for sometime to declare the strategic victory for Iran. It will be a strategic victory if they succeed in filling the glaring and apparent gaps in their overall operational planning, replace the lost equipment and most importantly root out the deep intel penetration of Mosad into their vital government organs. You cant fight external enemies when your Chiefs of Staff are not safe inside the home turf.
