The US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities did not destroy the country's nuclear programme and probably only set it back by months, according to a Pentagon intelligence assessment.

The Islamic Republic's stockpile of enriched uranium was not eliminated in the bombings, sources familiar with an evaluation by the Defense Intelligence Agency told the BBC's US partner CBS.

The White House said the initial damage assessment was "flat-out wrong" and "a clear attempt to demean" President Donald Trump.

The president has said Saturday's air strikes "completely and totally obliterated" Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities.
The US struck three nuclear facilities in Iran - Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan - with "bunker buster" bombs capable of penetrating 18m (60ft) of concrete or 61m (200ft) of earth before exploding.

But sources familiar with the Pentagon's intelligence assessment say Iran's centrifuges are largely "intact" and the impact was limited to aboveground structures.

Entrances to two nuclear facilities were sealed off, and some infrastructure was destroyed or damaged.

The anonymous sources told US media it is estimated the attack only set Iran back "a few months, tops", and that any resumption of its nuclear programme may be based on how long it takes the country to dig out and make repairs.

Sources also confirmed to CBS that some of Iran's enriched uranium stockpile was moved before the strikes, according to the intelligence assessment.

The US 30,000lb (14,000kg) Massive Ordnance Penetrator bomb was thought to be the only weapon capable of destroying Iran's underground nuclear enrichment facilities.

Iran's size and landscape allows minimal impact but for the small Zionist entity it is a devastating blow, that's why they pleaded for a ceasefire. ...
Stop fooling yourself.

If it wasn't for the ceasefire, Zion would've continued to take pot shots at its civilian infrastructure.

Ask yourself, why wasn't Iran able to stop Zion's aircraft from taking off from their usual airbases for 12 days despite Iranian missiles were getting through and hitting buildings?

My simple simple advice if White House is pissed someone is calling their own people losers in the White House means Irans nuclear program is still fairly much intact go nuclear before the Israelis decide to sneak in again this time with commandos just put everyone you have left speed them out put them in underground bunkers and just go for it if that’s the Americans assessment that’s the Israelis and now you have pissed off iranians who have nothing to lose

All the more reason for Iran to accelerate and continue the nuclear program.

I blocked him but I’m guessing @gambit disagrees was giving me a headache to be fair with his outright bias and after he said Iraq was seeking nuclear weapons kind of basically lost all credibility

Iran got pummeled left, right and centre and Zion got pummeled left, right and centre.

And, they're still ready to pummel each other left, right and centre given another opportunity.

Now, Zion has a powerful air force, ballistic missiles and air defence, freedom of surprise, freedom of aggression and a lot of rich friends.

Iran has a lot of missiles and a lot of verbal support internationally.

No doubt Zion is absolute evil, but their military might was so impressive and spectacular to watch for a country of just 10 million people.
Its all American weapons, they have Hermes drones and Jericho missiles. But the planes and munitions they dropped are all American. Remove the American weapons and you wont be impressed at all.

@arjunk

End hostile proxy militant programs in neighbouring countries and mend relations with them.

Good suggestions. Maybe Pakistan could follow them too!

Iranians seriously need to introspect as to why their government sucks up to a country

Now what did India do? Did it launch missiles on them? Did they give DJT a Nobel?

Regards
Love reading your posts. Big fan of your historical timelines.

In 1971, long before any armed uprising in Indian occupied Kashmir, a certain neighbourly nation's General Sam Manekshaw openly trained and armed a terrorist group to conduct brutal vietcong-like raids on civilians in erstwhile East Pakistan. India's neighbours learned a lot from the master craftsmen.

The only way the world is ever going to be certain is to get photos / video from inside the structure. Some of these analysts are expecting a "Torah Borah" style crater and collapse of a couple cave entrances; something they can see.

Something that's a couple hundred feet down in solid granite is not the same thing.

For the time being, if I was Iran, I'd lay low and leave everyone guessing.

Still, bias or not, @gambit was making fair points based on his experience from his military days.

Somewhere here I said I don't discount anyone's opinions or theories. We all have those. Some of us also come to the table with certain experiences that lend credibility to our opinions.

Will there be regime change in Israel?
I hope so.

Israelis won but not what they hoped for to be fair and was cost of of destruction to large portions of their cities worth it o don’t think so now you have pissed Iranians who will now be sending out everything they have to takeout Israelis abroad and from what actual intelligence agencies in the pentagon are reporting and not just mouthpieces of the White House Irans nuclear program wasn’t set back very much a few month at best and honestly by now I’m hoping the Iranians are going for it trump seemingly is not actually interested anymore I don’t think he want to keep sending 10s of billions of dollars of free beautiful amazing awesome bad mama jamma weapons to Israel paraphrasing trump but I think that’s about right

He will have his own views based on his lived experience and time serving during the cold-war.

Personally, I think they're stupid. To knowingly go to a known war zone then cry when they can't get out? Insanity.

Want to see the rockets red glare? 4th of July is not that far away.
Israel has what people call War tourism, people go and watch while Gaza been bombed, I have seen videos of people celebrating and cheering while bombs are dropped on Gaza, and doing BBQ parties next to tents of starving Gazan, there is no bigger scum on this planet who enjoy watching kids die, burn and starved, I have not see such depravity from ISIS or AQ, and we are too believe that these people are "Civilized" human beings... My Foot!!!

Iran never had the capacity to build any bomb and US dropped enough payload to render the facility unusable.

This is just lobbied narrative that US fake bombed the facility to allow for further violations from the entity.

Nobel nominee Trump and sole superpower status of USA are both at the mercy of 2 rogue regimes in India and the entity.
Your suggestion may be plausible at some level. Certainly, Israeli assets in the Pentagon would push for any justification that permits Israel to resume sorties.

But I think Trump's ego will never allow his chosen narrative to be contradicted by anyone.

E.g. Tulsi Gabbard had to backtrack. Elon Musk had to compromise his stance.

Trump has chosen to declare Midnight Hammer an unbridled success. He simply will not permit Israeli assets in the Pentagon to contradict that narrative.

Israel is already seeking out ways to renew their "green light" status, where they get to pick and choose when to attack their enemies. Interesting to see how far they are prepared to antagonise Agent Orange.
