You mean a strong president.....we need presidents, not life long leaders....why even get rid of the shah if go and get another? Besides, it's the 21st century....isn't about time we act like a modern country?
Supreme leader......Velayat-e faqih, Assembly of Experts? Why not branches of government like the rest of the world? We need to run the country like a Big corporation....you have a division and a job to do, you can't do it...or you fail to do it, you're OUT! Bring in the next guy. Meritocracy, it worked for Napoleon, it still works in this century. These things are not new ideas....it's truism, all the other ways have been tested through trial and error.
Anyways, the point is....we got caught on the back foot, because we have leadership that doesn't know the enemy, doesn't know the world and geopolitics of the lands outside of the middle east. If they knew, all those guys would've been in safe houses.
Also, how many scientists have been killed in the past 20 yrs? By now a monkey would have learned to protect high value personnel by a special group of highly trained guards....with a refined planning and modus operandi, to move them around and make their schedule and movements unpredictable.
Here's one more tip....get rid of all Western phones and apps, at least on the government personnel phones and computers. Every piece of hardware and software should be vetted by a specialized branch of the intelligence dept.
