The whole point of fighting asymmetrically for a weaker belligerent is to inflict heavy financial and human capital cost on the enemy through cheap means and bravery to stop the war. Average 4.5 gen fighter jet price, including indirect costs, is about 100 million USD (life cycle costs maybe 300 million USD). If the production cost of a single shahed drone in Iran=15000 USD, it means 6600 drones = 1 fighter jet.

I would go for drones, launchers, missiles, air defence systems instead of fighter jets.

If we saw massive amounts of drones being fired towards the enemy during the 12 day war, we could conclude that the decision of not buying fighter jets was a well thought decision. But unfortunately that didnt happen.

Is there a reason why Iran didn't fired hundreds of drones a day against Israel? Don't tell me some nonsense that "Iranian commander is afraid that firing too much drones would cause too many Israeli military and civillian casualties that would make their finger on the Nuclear Weapon trigger touch more earlier?"

Well it's safe to say without a proper Air Force and proper AD it's hard to restart civilian nuclear program out in the open because they will bomb it again.

But to make nuclear weapons via underground enrichment beneath mountain bases is still possible......if Khamenei allows it😑
 
First, it was missiles, now it is UAV. UAVs cannot replace an air force.

But hey...As an Air Force guy, am going to go out on a limb and speak for the entire USAF that we hope everybody replace their air forces with UAVs. 😁

Iranian casualty number continues to rise, now approaching 1100 Iranians killed, of which more than 700 are civilians.

By contrast, only 28 Israelis were killed. c. 39x more Iranians killed than Israelis.

Yet our leaders insist we should celebrate this divine victory. If this is victory, I don't want to see what they would admit was a loss!
 
A senior Israeli official says Israeli intelligence shows that Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium was not removed from the three nuclear sites at Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan before they were struck by the US last month amid Israel’s 12-day war with Iran, and has not been moved since.

The stockpile of some 400 kg of uranium enriched to 60 percent stayed there, and was not removed, the unnamed official tells Reuters.

The official suggests, however, that the Iranians might still be able to gain access to the enriched uranium at Isfahan — where the International Atomic Energy Agency said the stockpile was believed to be located before the war — but that it would be very difficult to remove it.

This is an age of hypersonic speed. Drones are a joke.

Israel and its allies' pilots can literally fly to Cyprus, have lunch, sip coffee, then reload interceptors and fly back to Israel before Iran's drones get anywhere near Israel.

Drones make sense in the India-Pakistan or Ukraine-Russia context because the adversaries are right next to each other.

the point is they still have to intercept it, and while they are busy with that they can't be flying over and bombing Iran and they are using AAMs
