Here is the uncomfortable reality...As an Air Force guy, F-111 (Cold War) then F-16 (Desert Storm), if the enemy has control of your airspace, you ARE defeated. This is modern warfare, not 19th-century and older. Israel is limited/restrained by the US, nothing else. But geopolitics aside, militarily speaking Iran is effectively defeated.

Iran is tactically defeated, because of the reasons you mentioned ... strategically Israel didn't achieve any of their objectives, and we know what the objectives are we are talking about...

Do you think that Iran is no longer able to strike back again, in the same style, against the same opponent??? If the answer is yes, then Iran is defeated... defeated totally...But I don't think so...

Strictly tactical Nazzis decisively defeated Soviets in World the II, even in the game-changer Kursk battle Germans inflicted more damage on their opponent than vice versa.. but, like comrade Stalin said, every quantity has its quality..
