Contrary to propaganda i dont buy the idea that a regime change in Iran can be pulled off that easily. Unless the Iranian people themselves rise up and get rid of them no foreign power is going to topple IR with just airstrikes. These guys are way too deeply entrenched in Iranian society.

This is the same thing, there is no difference. There is just one detail to be noted: we are talking about a decades-long war, just like in Afghanistan and Vietnam, where the US overthrew the governments of both countries but was later expelled.

Iranian forces were built to operate independently of a government, like the Houthis, Hezbollah, afegan tribes, former KGB(actual Putin russia) etc. And without direct government, these forces tend to become even stronger and without the need to follow any kind of rules.

So, in practice, what "Israel" may achieve initially is another fake narrative of victory, but in the long run (I repeat what I said before): the ayatollahs and mullahs tend to benefit from this.
