China isn’t really any different from the US. Both play the same power games. The only real difference is that one is an actual superpower, and if you align with them you at least get something back.

People love to paint China as anti-US or anti-imperialist, but that’s just not reality. It’s the West’s biggest trade partner, one of Israel’s top 5 trade partners, and it obeys US sanctions just like the rest of the world.

So this idea of Iran being under some “Chinese protection umbrella” is a fantasy. China won’t risk anything for us. They’ll take cheap oil, do some barter deals, and stop the second US commands them to.

If you really think China is going to be Iran’s shield against the West, you’re either being dishonest or fooling yourself.

China sent forces to NK because it willingly sent them to stop US forces threatening China's border, not because the Soviets told them to. China and the Soviets were equal partners in the Korean War to resist US Aggression.

Sure, as a chain of thought model it is better (at least initially when it was released) at solving scientific problems in math, physics or chemistry but it does not accept audio commands, cannot process videos or do other stuff. Their hardware limitations are apparent in the limited range of capabilities it offers, but it's still quite impressive in terms of its cost efficiency and logical reasoning. Unfortunately, it's limited to text for now. Another issue that I have had with DeepSeek is that it does not have the same large corpus of data as American companies. So, it does hallucinate sometimes, or make up false shit. This is another clear advantage of the US over China: Data.

China has been an old civilization with great innovations, I don't doubt their capabilities as a nation, but I simply do not see them take over the collective West on their own. The US attracts the best talents from all over the world, including the Chinese! The same cannot be told about China. Biden hurt the US reputation a lot. The US didn't have a president for 4 years and Kamala Harris was a joke. Trump is hurting the US reputation in a different way, but at least he has the right ideas for maintaining the global order in favor of the US.

The West has better branding. And it's going to stay like that for the foreseeable future.
