Multiple reports suggest that Iran's reformists are acting unilaterally.
They are moving to seize control of the country, disregarding both the parliament and the Supreme Leader, while Khamenei, fearing assassination, is unable to communicate with the outside world.

You're wrong, reformists are carrying out khamenei's orders. IR's death march will only end when the military removes khamenei and his reformists.

This is all political theater. According to multiple sources with knowledge of Iran, the snap sanctions are expected to have minimal impact on Iran's economy. The architects of the JCPOA do not want it to die. Snapbacks are the final nail in the coffin of the treacherous one-way deal. There is no rational explanation for why the Rial has collapsed against the dollar other than inside manipulation. Why has the Russian currency not collapsed? Because Putin imposed strict measures banning certain foreign transfers, forcing exporters to convert foreign earnings into rubles, and limiting how people can move money out. I know, Iran's oil exports are much less and they probably could not force many nations to buy the rial. They could buy gold and Yuan to stablizes the rial but they do not.
The sellouts have control. The Mafia oligarchy in Iran is manipulating the rial for its own interests by creating a big gap between the official rate and the street (black-market) rate, undermining confidence.. They want to force capitulation. The same people create the chronic inflation.
During the war with Iraq, Iran adopted a wartime command economy. Essential goods like bread, rice, cooking oil, sugar, and fuel were rationed at fixed subsidized prices.
The government imposed official exchange rates and tightly controlled imports and access to foreign currency. Unlike today, where the connected steal millions and never pay them back.
By controlling both prices and currency transactions, the government suppressed inflationary pressures at a time when the country was in a much worse state than it is today. Today, we do not have nationalist leaders. The government is controlled by a mafia that is accountable to no one.

If there is a need for these then buy them. If we protect enough assets, then we can strike harder and maybe enough to deter them.
If they run out lf interceptors, or a new missile renders them ineffective, they will come down like a house of cards.

they still hope to delay snapback to have more time to build up military strength. but the concessions Iran is prepared to make are not sufficient for the West, who perceive Iran to be weak and they want to extract maximalist concessions before losing their snapback leverage.
the only way to change the equation I can think of is to activate a large number of small, hidden enrichment facilities across the country with no IAEA oversight. although the enrichment cycle suffered a lot of damage throughout the value chain, some centrifuges in storage are presumably still available, and uranium mines were not hit. then the Europeans might think twice about using their leverage.
but IRI seems stuck and unable to forge a clear path forward.

It is very naive to think that Saudi Arabia will fight against india for Pakistan or that Pakistan will fight against the U.S and zionist regime for the sake of the Persian Gulf regimes
It is more likely just a symbolic defense cooperation that will never come into action
