Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

I must admit, these guys have a real talent for finding every opportunity to f*** up.
who is he trying to appease? no matter how much you try to convince the Europeans and Americans that Iran is committed to peace and laws, they will still unconditionally support Israel in slaughtering Iranians. so why bother?

They need to go. All of them. But who will step in?

Democratic constitution which will elect actual technocrats chosen by people on merit, not Revolution endorsing Khamenei approved pawns from two approved camps (basically its just one camp).

There's no sense in leaving the NPT, khamenei said he will not go for nukes, he will never go for nukes even if it means the genocide of all Iranians. Leaving and still not going for nukes would just alienate China and Russia while providing no benefit.

For non-white countries, democracy is just how the west to fund the regime they want. Don't imagine a fully democratic Iran would have free elections. We saw them overturn elections in Romania and Georgia because they didn't like the outcome. Aid and loans becomes conditioned on doing what they say. A leader that pushes for national development will not be allowed and sanctions will return if resources are not allowed to be looted by their capitalists.

Still right under American nose Few countries transitioned into powers. Leadership had the will which Khamenei led Iran lost somewhere around Soleimani's assassination.

Like I said before, where we are standing right now, even a mediocre but functional leadership will be an improvement over these responsibility allergic clowns we have.

This is a very pessimistic view of it. There are levels of integration into the western sphere of influence. Iran does not have to engage all the way. That's why there is pushback from inside those western countries as well. Trump himself is a product of such pushback.

Are you sure it was not ihud ollmert
Yes, it was Netanyahu. I remember his interview.
Ehud Olmert is less aggressive than Netanyahu, by the way.
He tries to maintain a diplomatic tone most of the time, at least in his interviews.
He usually talks about discussing with Iranians to put our differences aside and coexist.

apparently new video showing some missile impacts in Israel from 12 day war

not sure if it's real

no obvious signs of it being fake. @ShapurII (ignore the silly caption)

Hard to see what they hit. If it's hitting the residential buildings of the IAF, then it explains why their personnel were hiding in schools.

I don't know about other Iranians, but I personally would be happier if Iran turns into Saudi Arabia, Emirates, Qatar or even Turkey. These countries have surpassed us in recent years and the US has tremendous amount of influence in all of these countries.

Iran lacks accuracy for a pre-emptive strike to be successful unfortunately. Best to use the time to try and rebuild as much of the IADS as possible, and replenish missile stockpiles and try to induct new capability if possible, maybe use the data from previous operations to improve the accuracy of their systems etc.
Iran had enough "precise missiles" in the 12 day war, it forced Israel and US to double the # of THAAD launchers in Israel and keep restocking anti ballistic missiles..goes the next clash with Iran. Reality doesnt match your incorrect statement here.

Yes, it is correct.
@0:54
He says the Chinese warned us about the attack, the Pakistanis warned us, Hakan Fidan left 20 missed calls, even the Emiratis warned us...
It's obvious Iran knew beforehand, you just have to remember many targets in the country were decoys........

Iran can never become anyone of these countries. We are a very different society than Arabs or even Turkey. This is why foriegn powers keep on supporting IRI. They know what Iran will become if let loose.

you are influential but beyond that is only an illusion!

Worlds Second largest Hydrocarbon reserves (IRI does not invest in it)
Worlds 4th-5th Largest STEM grad work force (IRI makes them leave)
Without Sanctions, GDP projection like UK/France (IRI induced sanctions)
War hardened large military with Ist world superpower adversaries (even with IRI's stupid policies)
1-2 % Foreign Debt on GDP (Turkey for example has ~50%)

IRI free Iran can return to what Imperial Iran was, at one point it was worlds 12th largest economy with 4th largest Air Arm in the world to take out USSR (read operation Dark Gene), and thats before local STEM base or heavy industry was formed inside country. Revolution put a massive brake on growth but they have also created a solid foundation. All Iran needs is a massive wave of nationalism from here on.

IMO
I dont intend to lecture you,

because there is'nt much to debate really!

IR is a power nation which yields influence but not a world or regional super power!

okay, what one needs to do to be a world/regional super power!

(note none of these points, never started with the unsatiable desire to show that they have largest this and largest that aka humility!)
1. build huge water reservoirs to have cheap electricity or a leader in nuclear tech.
2. massive gold and $ reserves (that includes having the power to influence opponents decision making!)
3. leader in chip building (I mean trend setter, not STEM graduate, rather leading experts on the subject matter)
4. pioneers in philosophy and science (not determined by number of STEM graduates?!)
etc etc

your societal structure rests on your ability to extract oil from refineries which are'nt very modern!

sorry, I dont agree with you!
