Really seems a MANPADS (Misagh 2?). Anyway the fated Hermes 450 are being registered closely by a IR/TV stabilized system that seems to be same of Majid-08. houthies have shot down many of those using those IR/TV sensors like search and tracking systems. Each Hermes shoot down saves tens of HZ lives. Take in mind that those UAVs are closely scrutinizing the front in search of combatants and have IR designation for artillery and guided bombs. Chasing those Hermes 450 should be priority one.

It is possible as the high altitude terrain of Southern Lebanon with mountains over 1000 metres form a significant part of the terrain.

Hezbollah fighters hidden within the trees of these mountain tops can easily "pop out" and fire a missile that is able to reach the Hermes with a max altitude of 18,000 ft above sea level.

Iranian air defense, on paper, seems to be top-notch. I don't know what Western analysts are smoking when they parrot that Iran has "no air defense". What Iran does lack is an air force to complement the AD umbrella and make for a layered, comprehensive air defense network.

Is it cheap to get mass production of your own, already in use air defence systems, with same way of quantity as own quality...

Is Bavar-373 by distance cheaper than s-400 or patriot???

Of course such would be criticized even mocked...as almost any other AA systems now....

for sure cheaper than s-400 but still very expensive and takes a long time to produce

One thing that should be a positive from these recent back and forth with the Israelis is that Iran will surely be forced to invest much more in its air defence, in particular missile defence. Airforce is another big issue of course.

Iran has a lot of systems that are capable on paper so these need to be mass produced.

because of brain drain, mismanagement, and political appointments, the culture of efficient mass assembly lines never picked up in IRIAF and Air defense. Seems like now things will change.

The cost isn’t relevant. Importing these is not a valid choice.

Can Iran Air defense make that area - Contested? by Rolling forward the SAM systems. i do not know about IRIAF.

Can Iranian AD units create a buffer over Iraqi AirSpace?

I believe it's already there. Reports indicate many of Zionia's projectiles were intercepted in Iraqi airspace. However, yes it would be very beneficial to roll this out further. Not sure why this isn't already done via the PMU units

It only makes sense to create this anti-access bubble/layer for front denial. To create this, you would need a multilayer defense dense enough to withstand saturation and SEAD/DEAD attacks, the problem with this is that you can't just be on the receiving end without retaliating, not even the Chinese with their A2AD strategy do this, that's why they are creating a huge and modern air force.

That's exactly what I said. Some users thought I was an anti-Iran troll, but it is important for Iran to analyze which countries helped Israel attack Iran. Jordan has been proven to be responsible for the attack on Iran. Iraq did absolutely nothing. I'm sure Ilham Aliyev helped Israel too. And I don't trust Erdogan or Qatar either.

We draw a very clear red line for our neighbors. Saudi Arabia, unlike what many thought, seems to have respected it. If we don't respond to countries that helped Israel, then our word would mean nothing to them anymore.

Iran will solve issues with Azerbaijan and UAE with lights off.

When they tried to choke Iran in Zangezur with transferred Takfiris from Syrian Idlib and also a Zionist land corridor, a couple of missiles landed on Azerbaijan.

No one heard anything.
