It would not have made much of a difference if Iran had 300 or 500 modern fighters.
This all, but confirms that the 600 fighters sitting in the Persian Gulf Arab states were probably in along with European fighters going in and out of rotation.
When Iranian officials stated they were up against 40 countries, they were probably close .
Not something to be proud of knowing the end result today.
