Iran has so far thwarted western attack on its soil successfully.

The solution employed by Iranian strategists despite being surrounded by US bases, which itself requires a separate topic to assess US capabilities provided by those bases in Arab countries, was obviously successful and fruitful.

The airforce still needs attention to find her own place in A2/AD strategy of the country.

The underground bases such as Oghab also appeared to be most useful in keeping the interceptors safe from preemptive attack of the enemy. Surprise attacks usually cripples the airforce in the beginning.

SU-35 if ever imported will surely strengthen the intercepting capabilities of IRIAF against incoming threats. As we saw with US' cruise attacks from their submersible platforms in Persian gulf.

Top priority of airfroce will be being integrated into already existing A2/AD layers and strategy of Iranian armed forces.

If people still keep asking is J-10 a good import? Answer is yes, but given the current budget and requirements of airforce, its not a good choice.

Are we going to place an order for a huge amount of Russian fighter jets? Answer is crystal clear NO. We will import a 'fill the gap' platform for now.

Iran was at war with Greeks/Roman empires for centuries. Losing Syria, for the time being, to western empire can be classified in this context.

We are in this situation because of lack of awareness, which is an off shoot of lack of schooling and perhaps experience. Where does this lack come from? It comes from people being thrust into positions of power without merit to do the job.
