"Azeri" identity is a rather recent phenomenon. Not long ago, these groups were just called "Torks" in Iran. If you count Azeris, Turkmen, Ghashqais, horosani turks and the ones who are settled in bigger cities then the number will go as high as ~30%.

I do not see the problem here, have Khamenei, Bagheri, Pazeshkian, Nasirzadeh etc said something anti-Iran? they are all Turks. Why do people make it an issue? Iran today is a united nation because of Turk Shia Militants otherwise it would have been divided into 7 states.

Man i really dont care.... i stay on my position as per the number of Azeris (i ve got no info on other groups to be honest). But indeed iranian Turks have proven much enough to be dynamic in Iran's politics since 5 centuries at least. And to me having à Turk, Kurd, Baloch, what ever as a président (even à Ghazvini) isn't an issue and will never be.........

Correct. Regardless, I won’t be so dismissive about post Resistance Syria. There is opportunity abound man ch like the current Taliban in Afghanistan.

IRI only can spend , it not learned to take ... so if they stay in Syria , it will mean more spending from already poor Iranians money to appeal these Salafis ....

So I hope they don't stay there ....

Hell even Iraq has more income than Iran but IRI just spending in Iraq and doesn't even take back the money it spending ...

in the best case scenario Syria's payments to Iran will be subject to US approval via a third country bank account only to be used for humanitarian goods, like Iraq

and good luck getting those approvals from Trump

new Syrian regime wants US sanctions lifted, and that is a big priority over anything to do with Iran
