It's a "business as usual" scenario with future temperature increases of between 2.8 and 4.6. It doesnt take into account major unexpected economic and political developments. If you look closer, Spain, Italy, Portugal are also marked red.

Compared to Afghanistan, we have a more than 2x the population, a substantially larger and more developed industry and agricultural sector, and on top of that (my personal opinion) one of the top water wasters in the world.
