This guy was definitely not an "innocent Kurdish businessman" I invite anyone to modify the Wikipedia page which is filled with pankurd sources about the strikes

If the kurds are working with the zionists, then Iran has a greater reason to keep hitting them.

US CENTCOM statement:

Iranian-backed Militants Attack Al-Assad Airbase, Iraq

At approximately 6:30 p.m. (Baghdad time) time Jan. 20, multiple ballistic missiles and rockets were launched by Iranian-backed militants in Western Iraq targeting al-Assad Airbase. Most of the missiles were intercepted by the base’s air defense systems while others impacted on the base. Damage assessments are ongoing. A number of U.S. personnel are undergoing evaluation for traumatic brain injuries. At least one Iraqi service member was wounded.

Source: @CENTCOM, Twitter/X.

In summary, they have no idea what exactly was launched, how many was launched, how many was intercepted, what damage was caused, or how many injuries were caused.

We can expect a significant response from the US against PMU/PMF forces in Iraq. Senior commanders ought to act accordingly.

Because they are simply lying and practice Israeli-like censorship for their image as a superpower

I thought there was not air defense here and Fateh freely flown into them, they probably intercepted none of the BMs and at least one or more are killed, "traumatic injury" is the typical CENTCOM bullshit

They deserved it plain and simple, now they are going to do the same token strikes using F-15s, and attacking everything that isn't Iran like they love to point out

more likely because they need time to complete BDA and assess what happened

Patriot systems were possibly moved into Iraq in November 2023

Agree, but we should be glad they are trying to downplay it

if by "token strikes" you mean destroy PMU/PMF HQs and probably kill a few senior commanders, then sure

lets not underestimate the USA or overestimate IRI's ability or desire to fight a war with the USA

Look at their last token strike, what did they achieved? They only reinforce PMU, killing seniors doesn't hide or hijack the fact that they are losers for three decades

The United States can't get in touch with reality and as always dehumanize Iraqis by sayinh'g that if they get mauled, this is forcibly Iran, not people that are getting sick of their parasiting expeditionary presence

They are still going to be mauled until they will realize they have won nothing in Iraq, a few dead mercs should do the trick

taking out senior commanders = reinforcing PMU ?

I think it's not the USA that is out of touch with reality ...

What happened when Soleimani got assassinated? Nothing besides reinforcing IRGC and have people support IRGC and the country, same for PMU leader, PMU could raid US consulate and base if they wanted to and crush any opposition like they did multiple times

USA thinks that drone assassinations will weaken PMU and IRGC while they are just symbolic strikes meant for internal, west only propaganda, USA has lost in the region and from that point they can assassinate whoever they want for internal propaganda, it will not change the fact that they lost and are losing, that they do not have allies in Oras neither Syria besides pathetic FSA and ISIS/Al Nusra

This way of thinking is typically from white westerners and Israelis (both losers in Syria and Iraq)

The more they kill the more people will unify and trust PMU and the more PMU will act, this is factually shown since 2020 how IRGC strenghtened in all fields including nuclear program and missiles, ICBM, space designs, drones and this keeps going on and we'll soon have supersonic cruise missiles to target US ships

After the assassinations and sabotage, new IRGC branch was made in 2022 specifically to protect nuclear sites since 2022, no sabotage or assassination of scientists happened

PMU intensified their attacks on US position

confirmed that Patriot PAC-3 interceptors were used by the USA in Al-Asad airbase in Iraq

They intercepted none of the BMs, just some from the rocket batch

The USA, best country in the world and the first superpower, will strike Iraq instead of Iran when their soldiers got hit by Iranian BMs and rockets!

Khamenei got cocky like you too and said USA can't do a damn thing to Iran

48 hours later Soleimani was killed by the USA

Some of the echo chamber feel good delusions you guys have are quite ridiculous

I think he meant to the Iranian land like we saw with other neighbours getting their sovereignty violated by US and NATO. As bad as Soleimani's death was, it happened abroad after he was responsible for the death of many yank soldiers during the insurgency fast of the Iraq invasion. Iran also became the only Muslim nation to launch a direct attack on America without a response, giving 100 odd soldiers "concussion" (which I don't believe personally). So when Khamenei said that, you have to imply in what he is saying that if US dared to attack Iran, there would be a response instead of accepting their fate like Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan just to name a few.

Iran also became the only Muslim nation to launch a direct attack on America
Slightly misleading way to characterise launching missiles against a US military base in Iraq

And absorbing 10 ballistic missiles in Iraq that killed 0 Americans and did very little material damage (52 aircraft evacuated before the strike) is probably a good trade off for taking out the IRGC's top commander, PMU's top commander, and a bunch of other high ranking members

but according to some people the more senior commanders and leaders of ours that are killed, the better for us

Their bases and soldiers are always considered American territory. Either way, no Muslim nation did what Iran did and it doesn't look like they will any time soon.

I personally don't believe that nobody died, and I will have to say Allahualim on the US claims. However, in all fairness, Soleimani was responsible for the death and maiming of so many US soldiers, entrenching anti-daesh militia and ending daesh that he had done what he was set out to do, and his death came too late for the yanks.

Not legally. They also don't refer to Al-Asad as an American base

Iraq fired SCUD missiles directly into Israel (successfully) and on coalition/US bases in Saudi Arabia, so that's not true

On this, I agree.
