Iran’s drones are limited by ground stations as they lack satellite data feeds. They also don’t do well in mountainous terrain where there is less signal. Not to mention they are slow. Most Iranian drones fly at less than 250 KM/HR.
Either way we still haven’t seen any evidence of these helicopters yet or the quantity.
Karrar can operate easily within Iranian territory to hunt enemy drones with its WVR missile. Its fast and maneuverable as well. Russians have put R-60 on Shahed-238. May be Iran needs to do same although Karrar is better.
I will still be in favor of dedicated locally built force of F-5 Kowsars as ATs + CAP for drone hunters within IADS.
