65th Airborne Special Forces Brigade( Nohed) replaced their MPI HM-72 with former Afghan National Army M-16A2s.

Those are iranian made s.5.56 sayyad rifles (iranian m16 copy) some iranian units use them since the early 2000s ,they first been seen in exercises in 2005-2008. Not American/afghan

That M249 is almost certainly former ANA, I suspect those are also former ANA M-16s rather than S-5.56s. Most S-5.56s we've seen use the smaller 20 round magazine and the stock is different both on stock and modernized models.

2000

If someone can get a clear image of the pistol grip it would clearly distinguish whether they are M-16s or S-5.56s as the latter uses a revolver style grip that is distinct from the grip of the M-16.

Those are M-16A2s. definitly not S-5.56. Artesh never used S-5.56, only IRGC.
