theres no fixed number, but if it looks like its gonna hit, you launch whatever you can!

The US used to fire 2 SAM missiles, then seen the result, if the target isn't destroyed another 2 fired.

Could someone explain to me why overall Iran has been less potent than the wars before this? Did they learn nothing from previous encounters?

It seems like there hasn't been a single heavy salvo and their launch capability seems neutralized

(1) Israel has a police enforced gag order on any leaked footage from ground zero of impacts. We can barely see missiles entering from West Bank skies. Yesterday Kheybar Shekans flatted buildings but we got to see nothing except for 1-2 much later leaked photos.

(2) USAF/USNAF have bombed TELs and bases.

No other factor.

That may be true but in the age of social media nothing gets hidden. I doubt serious impact on major cities would be totally hidden

missiles likely stuck in bases or expended / destroyed

the US still cannot destroy the missile bases so they need to keep bombing the entrances every few months or reach a final arrangement with Iran somehow (e.g., Iran can keep the ones stuck in the mountains but cannot build new missiles)
