Someone tell IRGC to hurry up with a SLBM submarine construction. Even a conventional warhead is useful for SLBM

The machine gun isnt stabilized and too much recoil to attain accuracy.

Looks pretty accurate in burst mode, might be difficult during rough seas tho.

Considering a projectile aiming from a broad side impact target would have two maybe three of these firing on it, one from the stern and one from bow and you will have high chance to hit the subsonic object.

Again this is a redundancy measure in case Navwab AD missile missiles or Iran fails to detect.

Even with all the Houthi attacks, I think only 1 time did a US destroyer need to activate its phalanx. The rest were shot down with pricey AD missiles (SM-2/SM-3)

Either way Solemani class needs a bigger brother air defense ship to protect it since it’s radars are not powerful.

It would be best to travel with future next gen Iranian FOBs or if IRGC ever decides to build a heavier class ship. Most I assume Solemani would stay near Iranian territorial waters and thus have the benefit of Iranian weapons on its own soil to protect it or keep enemies at stand off ranges.

Btw compare this to Taiwan clsss ship which has only one 20mm Phalanx, while Iranian engineers went 6x 20mm route.

I think I agree with Iranian engineers on this one

Iranian one is remote controlled phalanx fully automated that can control by radar

how it is controlled then
I think he thinks your referring that it is controlled by a person remotely as to his thinking that it is a sentry gun with sensors that detect objects……I could be wrong though
