Van is MUCH closer to Tabriz (200km) than IRGC drone bases in Persian Gulf (1200km+), yes
We subsidize energy and gasoline use/consumption/waste (costs Iran 50-100 billions a year), part of money goes to deep pockets/corruption (4 billions USD disappeared in debsh tea import case), large part of economy is not taxed, then it's logic that no money remains to modernise infrastructure, army, industry.
some have itIran is a country with advanced missiles and so much more. Iran isn't Timbuktu. Despite corruption one would have expected that a helicopter with night vision capability isn't something out of Iran's reach. This is shocking to be honest.

"The Airborne Division of the Ground Force initiated a program in April 2018 to upgrade all helicopters with night-vision cameras to improve aircraft capabilities during night missions."

yes, they are probably there too but the area is not small and the more helicopters looking the betterBro, this is your president you are looking for. Shouldn't all equipment be available for search and rescue mission on a priority basis?
