Why would the pilot even agree to take off in such horrendous weather. I don't blame the passengers they rely on the professional; the blame is solely on whomever operated that helicopter. If he's alive he needs to be prosecuted for extreme negligence and endangerment.

Presidential government helicopters must be scolted 24/7, and i don t understand why they use a weak helicopter for transport, they must travel in iranian air force one plane, similar one.

Iranians takes risks gratitously.

Looking at the weather in all the reports - this does increasingly look like an unlucky accident.

Iran has a strong institutional framework for its governance structure - and i think these two positions can be backfilled from the talent pool that they already have.

Coincidence that the man most likely to be the next Supreme Leader of Iran and who was being developed for the position dies?

Reminds me of peculiar circumstances when Khomeini’s son died.

Although if you were going to assassinate him due to internal power struggles a la Roman Empire, you got the opportunity on a platter with them flying a 1960’s helicopter in monsoon conditions.

Probably just Occam’s razor. But internal assassination cannot be completely discounted.
