Iranian President Raisi and Foreign Minister Abdollahian die in helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan

Old helicopter crashes in absolute worst case conditions - fog, rain, mountains. Finding the wreckage takes over twelve hours because of said difficult conditions.

Internet: surely this couldn't have been an accident

🤡
Agreed. Even if It is an assassination the authorities put It so easy for israelis or even americans. The flight plan and the aircraft was completely wrong. White you can't control everything... You must avoid obvious dangers.

Being a slave country doesnt always guarantee foreward thinking and development. Other than a few military toys, Iran is lightyears ahead of Pakistan in pretty much every field. "LOL"

It is better for Iran to pursue what it believes in and what Allah has written for them, than to be some slave munafiq state. Something you don't get.
Maybe Iran is better than Pakistan economically, but is not better than Pakistan in every field. LOL.

We are not sitting on a pool of oil like Iran is.

Pakistan is better than Iran in many fields. At least we are not sanctioned or have bad foreign policy.

Im not buying this bad weather line, because the other two choppers were absolutely fine in the same conditions. If there is a cover-up, you better bet that the pilot and US sanctions will get blamed.

Possible crash causes ? Weight of those on board? Path.Altitude. Performance. Down steam air. Etc etc

A few military toys? Our military is not "shit" like yours. lol.

And we have nuclear technology plus nuclear weapons. What do you have? lol.

And we have a population of 250 million people.

Iran only has a mere population of 80 million lol.

We have more human resources than you.

it is not clear. Maybe that image is fire of a villager for his farm or...

At the same time as the picture was posted, I was surprised how the helicopter was still burning and hot after hours of rain

That doesnt look like a random fire lit by some villager, that was more like an impact.

A blow for Iran and the "Global South' in general but Iran is a strong nation that will be able to find able replacements.

Raisi will go down in history as the first Muslim President to have humbled the entity after that drone and missile strike last month. Seeing the settlers cower in fear that Saturday evening and Sunday morning was a historic occasion.

Whatever the findings of the investigation, Iran should immediately buy modern helicopters from Russia and make a deep effort to develop its own as soon as possible. No other country apart from a totally trusted Muslim ally should supply the technology to transport the Iranian President and other very senior officials.

Well, according to your opinion, because America is strong, others should obey America.

But according to our opinion, we only obey God.

Like the Prophet and Imam Hussain, we stand against the powerful and evils of our age

Better strategy would have been to be pragmatic and hidden in the early days of IR.

Much like China did during the same time frame ‘play nice’ and use the West to your advantage until your sufficiently on your own feet via foreign investment and ToT transfers THEN transition to a more independent sovereign country strategy.

Instead as soon as 1979 Revolution, Iran came out swinging at US, Europe, Russia, and China by blasting them as world powers that influence and destroy nations. Making enemies (with the west) and shunning the east wasn’t the best route to take. Assuming black gold (oil) will always keep you wealthy and prevent the West from seriously hurting you financially do to energy dependence wasnt smart either.

Anyway hindsight is 20/20

Foreign Minister indeed was probably the best we have seen from Iran. Bold and articulative. Loss to diplomatic community.

Did I say obey USA? I said be smart and do what is in the best interests of your peoples.

No,you`re just a literal third rate vassal.

America doesnt need to sanction you because it literally has you by the dick and balls.I mean for 14 years it freely murdered your citizens with barely a fart of [ignored] protest from the pak government, plus there was the hit squad that it sent in [without bothering to even inform your government] to take out bin laden

Now imagine what might happen if the next time you rattle your beggars bowl at the imf and the us didnt give its approval for a "loan"......

You guys couldnt even build your section of the ip pipeline out of FEAR of us sanctions, that really says it all in my book.

You guys have a foreign policy.....?,I`m shocked!.

I think the biggest real mistake iran made was to become too economically dependent on the europeans during the 90s and early 2000s,they assumed that europe was somehow different to the americans.
The west may not be a political monolith but ultimately it is the us who calls the shots both economically and foreign policy wise, regardless of the costs to its vassals both western and other.

The ultimate impediment to any improved relations is that the us cannot tolerate an iran that is anything other than a compliant vassal. ala the palavi regime
