I think Khayyam-2

Kowsar-2 and Hodhod are also supposed to be launched by Russia but in May-June

Number of Iranian satellites in orbit is rapidly increasing (finally)

will be launched by March 20th

do we know its mass?

it apparently has 15m resolution and was previously due to be launched into orbit by Simorgh

I think Khayyam-2

It’s not Khayyam-2. It’s a satellite for Iranian private sector company. If you search you can find it.

Khayyam-2 satellites last news was back in Oct 2023 was that Iran wanted Russia to build new K-2 with updated specs as the original specs aren’t that impressive in this day and age given where commercial sat tech is.

I’d be surprised if we see a K-2 launch this year.

so it is Pars-1 being launched by Russia tomorrow

thanks for sharing

then Kowsar and Hodhod to be launched by Russia around May, then Khayyam-2,3,4 to be launched by Russia also in next few years

Seems Sepah will imminently launch Noor 4 as well. Possibly tomorrow. Video includes Noor 1 pictures of US 5th fleet.

Also interesting, is this being advertised pre-launch? Quite significant:

2 Qased/Noor launches within 5 months if this happens (+ Qaem-100 launch last month)

IRGC noticeably stepping up launch frequency

You can detect Iranian missile pre-launches with NOTAMs that close off airspace.

Either IRGC has finally fixed their bottlenecks or gotten a greenlight If it was political for more frequent launches. I still don’t think IRGC really “cares” about space like other military powers do.

Given the “alleged” long line of satellites waiting to be launched the launch frequency should be monthly eventually. SpaceX is already on weekly launches.

I should also point on that a private sector company is now offering photos of people from space using LEO satellites. This is obviously to government agencies, but it shows you even the private sector now has the Sci-Fi level tech that was once only in the hands of major government black projects.

Iran has a long way to go to catch up in next decade. Hopefully it’s satellite tech starts to leapfrog sooner rather than later.

Iranian made satellite Pars-1 launched into space by Russian SLV

Explanation

Separation moment

Pars-1 has infrared sensors.

This satellite Carries multiple sensors for information gathering and also it is basically designed to pass multiple tests such as inter-orbital movement, orbital correction and other tests.

Pars-1 is a huge step forward towards a homemade heavy SLV. It acts like a catalyst and avoids spending resources on trial and error in the way of developing heavy SLV. Just Great

Yep! The 'tik-tok' seems to have started which is key. Remains to be seen. Although the Pars 1 launch is important, to me, the purported imminent (today) Sepah launch is even more important.

turns out this wasn't true

turns out this wasn't true

If NOTAM was issued (I’m too lazy to check) then either launch conditions were not optimal and it was delayed. Or it failed.

Maybe someone will shed further light. I saw a few Iranian trackers talk about this launch, not just one.
