The incredible speed and flight ceiling of an Iranian drone!

The numbers recorded from this bird are beyond expectations: a speed of 770 knots, which is about 1,426 kilometers per hour or nearly 396 meters per second, at an altitude of nearly 31,975 feet, equivalent to about 10 kilometers above the ground.

A while ago, an Iranian drone with the same specifications was moving from the west to the northwest - at that time, some tried to attribute the incident to a recording error in the flight radar system, but the repetition of this data strongly questions such an explanation.

Which drone is this?

Nobody knows. But has been flying for days. It can't be from Shahed 171 because the engine and flying wing configuration doesn't allow such high cruise speed.

Have we ruled out a modified Karrar?

Target drones (like what karrar family is based on) can reach that speed.

Here is US target drone:

The Iranian Puzzle - "Kamil" Drone. It flies at 30,000 feet at a speed of 0.8 Mach. It reveals its targets from afar without the need to approach.
Faster and with a longer range than all existing drones .

Well, kinematically It is possible. But a surveillance drone would need a complete suite of sensors. And that makes a target drone like those not suitable for such missions. So if It is a target drone it would be considerably modified. Karrar drone was not highly modified. Just some guidance and external payloads. Just that.

Save the attack drones for future ground invasion

It is likely to be Karrar unless stated otherwise:

One other possibility is unreleased drone that was based off the Sejill design (or similar concept) for the Iranian navy

It was supposed to be jet powered. It was announced over 5 years ago.

Thanks for sharing. I did never see any versión with radar or IR sensors aboard.
But again, check carefully, those sensors are just suitable just for Airborne surveillance. Electro-optic surveillance require a complete IRST turret (traditional UAV IRST stabilized cameras) or newest aircrafts two or more windows distributed alongside fuselage to host Hi res wide range IR/EO sensors like F35's EOTS and DAS.
That radar and that EO sensors just can scan a small vision field in front of the UAV.
But again thanks for sharing.
