I see great potential in Iran becoming a major economic power.

But honestly, I feel Iran is unnecessarily sacrificing itself because of the Palestine issue. Iran could have followed a path more similar to Turkey, Pakistan, the UAE, or Saudi Arabia—maintaining its political positions while also focusing strongly on economic development, international relations, trade, investment, and the well-being of its own people. No other countries want to sacrifice herself for Palestinian, so why only Iran, even we know - alone can not be done anything

I respect Iran and its people, but I disagree with the way Iran has handled some of its external international issues. In my view, the biggest concern is that Iran’s policies have come at a significant cost to its own people and economy, while the results have not always been favorable.

Iran has enormous potential, and I genuinely believe it could achieve much more by balancing its regional interests with stronger economic engagement with the rest of the world.

And you rightly said, no other countries would sacrifice for Iran...

A few of your points are valid however you are forgetting about a major political reality of the Mideast, one that was imposed in WW1 by the West and continues till today. And that is if you obey the West, you will be allowed to make some money and enjoy upto a point, but if you dare to disobey the West then you are a target. Iran has been in the latter category since 1979.

Did you forget last year's war? The only one that has never had a reliable ally is India. As long as a war starts, India's those high-sounding friends all run far away to laugh at you. Under the great Modi's diplomacy, friends all harbor ulterior motives, enemies are more and more. Yes, as long as India continues to be weak, neighbors do not mind coming to bite off a piece of meat.

Iran is not sacrificing anything for Palestine.
Iran had its own expansionist strategic interests and very personal problems against US .
So using their sectarian leverage over Arab/nonArab Shiites that are frankly devoid of any central state level leadership, they,admittedly, built quite a strong axis of resistance.
They satanized America and told people that every single problem of yours is due to Americans.People actually love such fantasies thus giving unparalleled power to Tehran but obviously they went too far with their fantasies and finally reality started knocking doors at Tehran.

Although he is the President of Iran, he has absolutely no idea how this so-called "money" actually works. The parties involved will never let him in on it or allow him to get involved.

However, as Indians, you can certainly start your routine mockery—though the truth is, no one really cares what you have to say.

Yes, if the money is in Chinese banks, it can still be used to pay for Chinese stuff and the records kept off the books for now to avoid any sanctions question. How else is Iran paying China for what it has been receiving from them for the last 12 months ?

There are lots of workarounds China, Russia etc have implemented to get around sanctions while West thinks all is hunky dory. The US has even begun to copy one technique the Russians were using , ship-to-ship transfers of oil.

The media loves statements like this because it allows then to tell one side of a story and then partisans jump in.
