Islamabad Talks - News & Discussions

The arrogant Yanks won't give up easily their country's status and perks as the sole superpower in the world. They don't see others as equal to US.
For many years, the United States has regarded the Americas as its backyard and the entire world as America’s piggy bank, using military hegemony, political hegemony, financial hegemony, and ideological hegemony to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.

All people are equal, and the United States is not superior. We can see that the democracy, freedom, equality, innovation, and progress that the U.S. promotes are a scam; Americans themselves cannot achieve these ideals, yet they often use these slogans as tools to interfere in other countries’ matters.

This negotiation was not successful, and Pakistan’s efforts received no reward.

The U.S. president serves a term of only four years, which means Trump will become even more frenzied in plundering personal gain; he has always done so. As for what the future holds for the United States, what kind of life its people will have, or the world’s peace, Trump will not care about issues that affect his ability to make money.

We do not hope for the U.S. to collapse in a short time; we hope other countries have time to sell off dollars. A $40 trillion debt default would overwhelm many countries, and we lack the ability to help all nations weather this financial crisis. When a financial crisis comes, in the struggle for survival resources, large-scale wars are very likely to occur in the world, which would be a tragedy for humanity.

The United States enjoys the rights, and humanity around the world bears the cost.

Reading Indian posts and Indian journalists on X is so hilarious and makes me uncomfortable. Damn, these people are deranged and snorting glue. Some of them are even celebrating that talks failed because Pakistan was mediating it. Like, you want everyone in the world to suffer just because you don’t like the mediator.

Just imagine the level of hatred, they can’t even tolerate brokering peace. And people here are like the military has created India as a bogeyman. There’s a 100% probability that all terrorism in Pakistan is Indian-sponsored. They only get away with it because of their size and economy.

No Breakthrough but No Breakdown. US leaves offer on the table.

Best to ignore the idiots on Indian media

yea , three countries and opposition party will be happy.

IndIa , UAE And Israel had made their feelings known before even the talks started and PTI used the event for its politics.

now the trolling celebrations will be funny
Please bro.

Lets not start the political mudslinging.

The PTI have agreed to postpone their protest. We can do all the nitpicking but they are not treasonous, anti Pakistanis, traitors etc etc.

Worse things have been done by current setup when they were sitting in opposition and all was forgiven for ‘national interest’. I will leave it at that.

Probably will be something aimed at domestic consumption more than anything.

Continuation of this war is neither in India's nor UAE's interest.
They are both loosing boat loads of money because of this war.

However this war especially harms Pakistans interest because of its fragile economy and Saudi defence pact.

For Pakistani generals would have never imagined that with in few months of signing a pact they believed was 'merely a lip service to relive gullible Arabs of their oil money', they might have to fight a war against another one of its neighbors.

Seems the negotiations have broken down, and suffice to say things are looking very bleak.

Pakistan have to walk a very fine line, in light of the Saudi defense pact.

I am sorry but they are. That draft bullshit propaganda was shared from PTI official page, they amplified imran riaz propaganda, they undermined the mediation efforts. PTI did everything to delegitimize the talks.

Yes you can criticise the current setup, but PTI went against the interest of Pakistan, especially on the online space.
I would disagree.

There is another thread to discuss this.

Let’s not discuss here.

Humble diplomacy wins. India has failed themselves with their 'greater than thou' mentality.

Back in August 2021 when Afghan National army was falling like dominos and Afghan were literally falling from American planes, ISI chief was sipping tea in Kabul's Serena hotel.
Taliban takeover was all but confirmed.

Around that time, a phrase began circulating in Indian diplomatic circles: strategic patience—the idea that India should stay calm, avoid reactive decisions, and let the events unfold.

Now we understand how right they were. Quiet diplomacy, measured responses, and long-term thinking often achieve far more than loud proclamations

Contrast that with the recurring pattern from across the border—where perceived wins are amplified with great fanfare. Not long ago, there was significant noise in Pakistan about how Bangladesh has abandoned India and how Pakistan will now be able to open another front against India.
Pakistan went as far as to even threaten its own participation in the world cup to show solidarity with BCB.

Yet within weeks, the narrative has shifted.. So much so that BCB chief who flew to Pakistan to meet with Moshin Naqvi is now out of job and Bangladesh as well as BCB is safely back with in the India fold and Pakistanis have barely noticed

So remember strategic patience and quiet diplomacy tends to outlast rhetoric and impulsive posturing.

If there’s one thing worth learning from China, it’s precisely this—play the long game.

No one should have expected these talks to culminate into an agreement, as the Iranian delegation rightfully said. Some people might have had unrealistic expectations. Talks will continue, perhaps in other venues, before a deal is reached.

What’s clear is that both sides are desperate for a deal despite the confident public posturing. Continued war is in neither countries’ interest but there are external actors (UAE and Israel) that want to pin the US in a state of perpetual war with Iran.

And we have more than a week of the ceasefire as well... All parties will go home recouperate, revisit, rethink and probably comeback atleast once more to the table...

Maybe the venue would change and maybe it won't... Regardless I consider this a win situation unless or until any party decides to call off the ceasefire.. Then we all should buckle up.
