The UAE is acting as a liaison officer on behalf of Israel. That is the rank it got assigned after signing the Abraham Accords.

I do find it interesting how the UAE leader has now landed in Pakistan after the ups and downs. I had started to believe that UAE Pakistan relationship was on a downward trajectory as it has for a few years. I think that the UAE has received instructions from the master.

The UAE is here to gauge the mood, test the waters and probably make an offer. Pakistan will be pushed to sign the Abraham Accords. The Israelis will keep using the Gulf states for this purpose. Israel wants recognition from major Islamic countries. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan belong in that list. Imagine Pakistan folding and signing the Abraham Accords. It would be a major breakthrough for Israel.
