If Pakistan makes an alliance and add Nepal, Bhutan, Srilanka, Afghanistan and many more such countries. Would it make an effective alliance? Or a burden to protect more territory that cannot be defended by themselves?

Pakistan will make sure that the alliance has military interoperability, so taking off from Bhutan will be same as taking off from Balochistan.

Take a look at Ukraine's neighbours that are are NATO members. They have military military personnel and equipment from so many other NATO members including the US.

None of the members big or small are considered a liability because the alliance is treated as a single military block.

Why do you think Russia has not attacked even one of the 32 NATO members to date despite the huge economic and military loses that Russia is absorbing on daily basis?

And, please do let us know if the US actually makes a decision to leave NATO.

President Donald Trump has been threatening to leave the alliance since January 2017 and it's now July 2026.

The recent additions to NATO are not adding anything to the table. Out of 32 countries, most are microscopic armies. Atleast 24 countries if leave NATO today wouldn't even dent NATO overall strength by 1%

All the more reason for Donald Trump to take advantage of the "microscopic" countries.

No, I meant whole purpose of NATO is to consider an attack on one country as attack on whole. So if Israel attacks Turkey and NATO do not retaliate, then whole purpose fails. Who would trust such an alliance then ?

NATO's Article 5 has only been triggered once.

Serbia, Afghanistan and Russia would beg to differ.

Secondly, if you see rationally Israel can do enormous damage to Turkey in a surprise attack. Can eliminate its civil/mil leadership, destroy / disable a lot of airbases, lot of naval bases etc. Even if some Turkish fighter jets survive and get airborne then what chances they have against F-35s ? Even Israeli F-16s have much longer stick then Turkish counterparts. ..

You underestimate Turkiye.

Israel is nothing more than a very large US military base. That's it. Do you think US wants to attack Turkiye?

I can say Israel may last longer against Egypt due to lack in Air power but Turkiye ? its not even a fight, Israel will threat Turkiye with nukes within a week of full scale war, Iran was launching missiles and it took USA/Israel/UK/France and Arab allies to protect that tiny entity, take that US backing away and it all crumbling down like a house of cards. If I had a US like super power backing me, giving me diplomatic cover, along with EU then even a weaker country will become bold enough to launch daring attacks on neighbors, because they know that if push comes to shove they will call daddy America, and America will send their A/C groups to scare anyone off.
If Turkiye decided to build their own nukes like 50-100 Warheads then its Over for Israel cause their only blackmail for the region is nukes aka their Sampson option.
