Dude come on, you are too intelligent not to understand that turkey has developed its own strength in its own way, and that is their prerogative.... If they were that much in partnership then they would not be declared enemy and financially attacked.
It seems like turkey made a grand bargain to embed itself within the West and NATO decades ago......until it had a choice not to, which is what China did as well economically until it also became a threat
Not everything can change overnight, NATO is withering away, Europe is going to start sucking up to Turkey to keep it less irrelevant, they are acknowledged as the next strongest military force, they are developing their own engine and fifth gen fighter..... I am not trying to debate these things individually just as a collective to say their independence to the west is decreasing and guess who is worried most...
