He saw it as a fierce warrior religion. Fascism celebrates military action to strengthen and expand the state, and he felt Islam shared those values. By contrast, he saw Christianity as weak because it had a “turn the other cheek” ethic, while Jews were… Jews.
He not only admired Islam, but maintained an alliance with the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, and had a Muslim SS unit fighting alongside his Nazis.
(Please do not attempt to argue with me about what Islam really is. The question was about what Hitler thought.)

HITLER HAD GREAT ADMIRATION FOR MUHAMMAD AND ISLAM.
Hitler had remarked that “the only Prophet I respect is Prophet Muhammad and the only religion I admire is Islam”. (Ref: Mein Kampf)
In fact Hitler’s holocaust of the European Jews was inspired by the holocaust of Arabian Jews by Muhammad.
After the war, Eva Braun’s sister, Ilse, remembered his frequent discussions on the topic, repeatedly comparing Islam with Christianity in order to devalue the latter. In contrast to Islam, which he saw as a strong and practical faith, he described Christianity as a soft, artificial, weak religion of suffering. Islam was a religion of the here and now, Hitler told his entourage, while Christianity was a religion of a kingdom yet to come — one that was deeply unattractive, compared to the paradise promised by Islam.

Why does it have to be a zero-sum game? Yes, China is likely to become the pre-eminent power in the world in some decades from now but even a No. 2 America, with the Dollar dominance, American allies, and immense natural and human resources, will still have a lot to offer; America just needs to be rid of the Neo Cons!
I am not disputing your advice about the 'huge strategic mistake' especially if/when KSA accepts some Neo Con Lollypops. However, there is significant chance that the Palestinian condition can improve due to the emerging realignment. Israel' strategic importance was already very low after the Fall of the Soviet Union and with Israel being seen as a loser due to the ongoing conflict, a realignment can benefit the Palestinians--and this thread is about the Palestinians. Let's keep watching where these 'bilateral' talks would go...

Yes let us hope that the USA can be incentivised to stop the whole scale destruction of the Palestinian people for now.

However, world balance of power is indeed a zero sum game. One country gets more powerful and then another has to decline in relative terms.

If China even gets to US power in economic, technological and military terms then US financial dominance ends right there.

We can clearly see the decline of US power this decade and so unless the benefits are immediate and short term(5-10 years) then there is not much point making any deals with them that is expected to deliver benefits over many decades at least.

There is talk about KSA getting “security guarantees” from USA in return for recognising the entity. Good luck with that once Iran is a nuclear power and has access to advanced Chinese fighter planes like J-31!


A lot of people will be shocked just how much US and western power will decline over the next 10-20 years in relative terms.

As I keep saying, no one likes a loser and Israel currently seems like a loser. Israel has been a net drain on America--a giant leech--while KSA offers a lot. That's not unique to Israel. Happens all over the world after such calamities.
But your 'logic' seems to be that Israeli Right decided to sacrifice the 'Communist Kibbutzim' is really absurd. What's the gain for the Israelis?? Israel is now a veritable International Pariah in making, Israelis are internally displaced for 7+ months in their 100,000+, people are talking about leaving Israel, Israeli military is seen as a joke--a pale shadow of the image made in 1967, 'Anti-Semitism' has lost its lethal suffocating power, America has slowly started to not only displace Netanyahu but also engaging with KSA directly, bypassing Israel. But more than all of that: Israelis have managed to divert the American attention from Ukraine and China--the real rivals of America are in China and Russia but the pissant tiny country in the Middle East used its Lobby to divert American attention and resources.

America's imperialistic drive and actions isn't only because of Neocons- Democrats are also invested in American imperialism- how many Dems are fighting "Neocons" over Ukraine or the Israel war-i dont see much disagreement within US govt on its imperialistic gamble in Ukraine- its not only Neocons who make the imperialistic "bet" on behalf of the US people and govt- others across the aisle from the Neocons are also involved and invested- all US presidents fight some war(s) during their tenure and there is little difference in US's imperialism between Republicans or Democrat govts.
