I much rather write of my birds and kitties which gave me so much pleasure. That was only continued in Oman. But that started 10 years earlier when I was living in Taiwan.

There's a certain truth to this.

Israel knows that eventually these nations will get their act together and grow as societies, technologically, economically, and militarily.

That is exactly my sentiment. I didn't think of it like this before. We were having a general conversation at home, and my father compared the current state of Muslims to that of post Mongol-sacked Baghdad. He mentioned that since then, we've lost our center of gravity and been pulled in different directions; books burned and thrown in rivers until rivers went black. We were reduced to a backward state.
