Who is he blaming? He needs to blame himself too. Turks handed over Palestine to the British and now they owe the Palestinians freedom.
The Turks were in a difficult position; they lost World War I due to combined Allied efforts against them and the Arab rebellion in the South. They did what they felt was reasonable to salvage Turkey's present-day borders. Had they not, we might not have the Turkey we see today, but a much smaller union that would have been further carved.
Understanding the situation will take a deep study; even to this day, I'm studying it, and one link leads me to another. Even young Arabs today think they know but do not know their past leaders. For example, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was a British-created post, and they installed their own man; he, too, refused to sign the White Papers in 1940, for selfish reasons as he was not placed as head of a future Palestinian state modeled after the independence of Iraq; eventually, he agreed to it. There were many selfish reasons for others who signed various agreements.
You will be surprised that it wasn't just the Hejazi Hashemite Family that joined with the British; even within present-day Jerusalem, it's prominent and influential families, such as al-Khalidi Family, descendants of Khalid Ibn-Waleed, this family along with the al-Husayni family descendants of the son of Ali sided with the British and asked their followers to take up arms against fellow Muslims. You had the Nashashibi family given preferential treatment by the Ottomans for generations given land, wealth and positions of power, and some family members went on to betray the Ottomans. While they come from sacred bloodlines, it doesn't take much to become namak haramis; it's why I don't place much value on bloodlines, even if an individual is Syed. Hence, I have always said that it just takes one leader's bad decision to make the next generations suffer or one good decision for future generations to prosper.
