My take on it is they hate the idea of a group like hamas ruling because hamas like muslim brotherhood even Iran you could say want a theocratic islamic rule. The kingdoms find this a direct threat to their rule.

I also think jealousy is at play, they want to be leaders of the muslim world, but you cant be through monetary means it has to be through robust action.
