Bro I for a change understand the points your trying to make. Looking at the world from a realistic point of view is different than an imaginery point of view.

All I can say is that I am deeply saddened by the incredible mix of naivete, zealotry, and self-delusionary idealism in dealing with the ongoing carnage, all heightened by an utter inability to translate any of those thoughts into tangibly useful actions, from just about all the posters here.

This issue has been a long time coming to its present crisis, and it is now so complex and emotionally charged for both sides, that any sort of realistic solution, or even any improvement, to reduce the needless pain and suffering is exceedingly difficult.

At least having a calm and rational discussion should be possible, but even that is not easy given the experience here thus far.

We live in hope, as they say.

Whatever that is happening now is the results of our own actions ie the Muslim nations. Speaking to the common people will give a great understanding on how people think, the mentality is atleast 100 years behind the western world, in terms of seeking education, working hard, unity, technology etc.

Ottomans werent colonists otherwise you and your parents were speaking Turkish now.

The definition of colonism is what France is doing now, maintaining the Central Banks of 14 African countries (former colonies).

You believed the Ottoman were colonists and stabbed them in their back and kicked them out while you took the real colonial powers in.

Teaching 16 year old Arab nationalists about colonialism is a very hard job.

the idea of nationhood and flag was established actually by the French in the last 1880s

they wrote letters to the Imam of the Al Aqsa saying they are Arabs and Ottomans are Turks and that Turks have no right over Holy Lands

and that lineage of islam belongs to Arabs and not Turks

the White did a very good job in training Muslims to die for flag and country

100 years later we are still doing it but never for islam

As Gaza gets Genocided, Saudi's Party. Beware of NAJD......Never forget......

You need to zip the insults, posters here are doing a lot to support the Palestinians, sending money, publicizing the atrocities, countering the propaganda etc. What you should be doing is condemning the heinous crimes being committed in Gaza by the Jews. Those who can will and there are plenty of them. The crimes are being committed by a superpower using the most lethal weaponry known to man which the gullible masses were told would be used against other super powers. Instead these weapons are being used against defenseless women and children and the whole world is stunned. The area of Gaza is 10 miles X 14 miles and they have dropped more bombs on them than WW2. With incessant 24/7/365 days of Zion propaganda from childhood to the grave peoples hearts have turned to stone that's the way they have been conditioned. The tide will turn and inshallah the people will be free.

About Beit Hanoun (Breaking the Sword):

The process belongs to the quality of the compound ambushes behind the enemy lines, where the murderer was carried out on a seam from Jakir Street, which is only 200 meters away from the border, meaning that it is a more offensive process than a defensive process.

The large number of fighters who participated in the operation, and the weapons used (packages, shells, mortar, machine guns), and the installation of the operation, indicates a major field construction of the resistance.

The fighters approach this form of the vehicle indicating a high audacity, especially with the difficulty of fighting in such an open area, and here it seemed the possibility of families of the infected force soon.

The coldness of the nerves of the fighters, and their calmness during the ambush, contributed to the election of the right goal, and allowing other vehicles to pass, and also contributed to investing success by directing other strikes achieved with the weapons types.

The shell that targeted the vehicle is a 85 -mm RBG shell, not Yassin's shell, which is a suitable shell to target light shielding vehicles, and has led to the rhythm of the power to be killed and wounded as we saw.

The Ottomans were a great nation. Its too bad it ended. Middle East was doing well under Ottomans. Now look what has happened to Iraq, Syria, and Palestine.
Colonialists always say they do a great job, have you ever seen or heard a self critical colonialist?

It's not a betrayal. You as a Pakistani might revel in the idea of being ruled by others. The Arabs don't. They wanted to rule their own lands. It was great thy were able to kick out the Ottoman colonists.

Not all Pakistanis share @PakAl views on the Arab 'betrayal' aspect. I agree with you on the bolded part: That's what I often thought. Why would Arabs with their large populations, distinct culture, long proud history would forever want to be ruled by a nation which, other than sharing the religion, was an alien culture and even colonialists? Would the modern day Pakistanis want to be ruled by Saudi Arabia or Iran or Turkey??
BTW, this 'Arab betrayal of Ottoman' is a cop out by some Turks to justify their silence on Gaza. Turkey was indeed 'the Sick Man of Europe' by the time World War One had started and the Ottoman Empire was bound to end by then; @Unknowntruth had given a good explanation for that many months ago. So the so-called 'betrayal' by a few tribes didn't matter.

'Arab betrayal of Ottoman'

It was the standard divide and conquer approach of the European colonialists.

They egged on the Arabs to 'liberate' themselves and rule their own lands as Arabs. Then, when the Turks were defeated, the Europeans divided the Arabs into Syrians and Jordanians and Saudis and Kuwaitis and ....

They did to the Arabs what the Americans later did to Afghan collaborators, i.e. stab them in the back after using them for their own purposes.

Of course it was divide and conquer: That's how colonialists win. Happened throughout human history regardless of which civilization or religion. Aren't some Pakistanis here advocating propping up the Tajiks against the Afghan Taliban to make the AT behave?

I know, I know that Palestine and the Arab world was probably better off and more peaceful under the Ottoman Empire then now but who could have known what was going to happen once the Ottoman Empire was removed? The West too was destroyed and the Jews were suffering in Europe around World War One.

It is wrong to blame 'the Arabs' as a whole for the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Tens of millions of people spread over such a vast region, as the Arab world was then, couldn't have acted in unison. Some of the tribal leaders fell for the Brits' scheming and those leaders were supported by nationalistic Arab populations seeking 'independence', which is a human desire regardless of where humanity lives. The Turks were an alien presence in the Arab world.
Also, I have not been convinced that the creation of Israel in the Middle East was some carefully planned long term Western strategy to appease the Jews. The Jews were slaughtered in the West and the global Jewish desire was to settle in Palestine and the West, partly to do an alternate version of the 'Final Solution', got rid of the Jews in their midst and partly because of the already powerful Jewish $$ in America and Britain, obliged. It is to be noted that Jews had formed terrorist groups which killed the Brits for many years in Palestine before 1948.
So it was not some well thought plan where the West acted in unison. However, the situation is different now, especially after the 1967 War and the near total control of Israel in America since the fall of the Soviet Union. Israel is certainly a colonial dagger in the heart of the Islamic world.
