Israel rejected the framework for a ceasefire. Ceasefire means something else to Israel. The more violent and terroristic Israel gets, the closer we get to Palestinian statehood and sanctions on Israel.

Right.
And who says violence doesn't pay off? Didn't the Jews themselves use violence in the 1940s against far more powerful Brits in Palestine to form the state of Israel? Didn't the Jews face many deaths when allied against the NAZIs? Didn't the American revolutionaries fight against huge odds for over many years to achieve the independence? Didn't the Algerians sacrifice untold millions to achieve independence from France? Also add the Afghans and the Vietnamese to the list. Similarly, the Palestinians may well achieve their own independence using violence and sacrifices otherwise, they know, they would be assigned to the dustbin of history!
This conflict is not over by a long shot. What I can see is that the various militias are slowly depleting Israeli manpower, morale, financial resources and international stature. The militias fire cheap rockets and drain the Israeli Iron Dome reserves. The militias are slowly but surely moving toward Israel from the south, the east and already present in the north and per an Israeli report, they are even planning to move toward Israel from Jordan!! They are, as @Aziqbal rightly said above, waiting for a ceasefire so that there would be a 'victory parade' in Gaza, which would be a huge huge blow to Israel's moral and deterrence!!
The Palestinians are certainly the biggest victims of this conflict but they have given Israel a very bloody nose! The Israelis are already divided and dejected, with worse to follow. They are splashing around, dropping bombs and running tanks over civilians. Their nukes are no use because of the nature of the conflict. There is emigration of Jews to safer countries, by some reports, 250,000-400,000 and many of them won't go back.
Too many imbeciles who think a people who are being colonized and oppressed are the aggressors ignoring the realities of what is happening to them. That dude is strange as he suggests that Hamas was wrong but does not actually suggest any alternative on how to resist.
He seems to think that all is not too bad in Gaza due to the experiences of temporary dual nationals there who choose to live there and can get out at any time.
No idea why he keeps bringing up irrelevant comparisons with Dutch and East Timor as in neither circumstance were millions of settlers from abroad pushing out Indonesians from their land and homes.
Gazans decided that they were going to lose everything and so went for the military option as a last resort. I cannot have an opinion as I am not the one who has suffered for coming on a century on my own land.
Too many imbeciles who think a people who are being colonized and oppressed are the aggressors ignoring the realities of what is happening to them.
No colonizer can ever be a victim.
Israeli media:
“Israel rejected Hamas’ conditions for a ceasefire after several consultations in Cairo.”
Hamas told Reuters: “Israel has thwarted all mediators’ efforts to reach an agreement.”
Why are you my little Indian still attempting to be more Jewish than the Jews.I am still not able to understand, why would Israel agree for any condition set by Hamas.
The Hamas delegates in Cairo had no authority to negotiate anything hostage-related, as they couldn't produce a list of names of those still alive. Which begs the question of whether they really represented Hamas at all - at least the bits of Hamas that hold live hostages.Israel rejected the framework for a ceasefire...
How can they give a list of hostages without a ceasefire? With the indiscriminate bombing without consideration of who they bomb - be it children women or hostages - how can a definitive figure be given? Yet again more whatsboutry by the IDF.The Hamas delegates in Cairo had no authority to negotiate anything hostage-related, as they couldn't produce a list of names of those still alive. Which begs the question of whether they really represented Hamas at all - at least the bits of Hamas that hold live hostages.
