They are actively increasing their investments in the West, especially in the US.
They have more faith in the US/Europe than in their own people.

They can shut down the Suez Canal, they can go off the petro-dollar, they can stop all oil and gas to Europe, they can cancel military orders.

At the end of the day, people can find a million excuses not to act, or they can find a reason to act.

It all comes down to mental slavery.
It sums it well, at the world composition like in current situation their leverage never was this strong but they are blinded with some abstract and potential losses.
They choose to be slaves of west for "protection" and by that their voice is silenced, muslim world should start distancing from Arabs, they are hopeless case.

What will be the effects of this Red Cow that is to be sacrificed? Will the Jews unite and demolish Al-Aqsa Mosque? What will be the reactions of the Iranians and the Arabs?
Something like that.
None.

Firstly, they don't represent their people otherwise they would have honored the people's wishes about the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

Secondly, it is easier for you and me and other forum members to come up with bold plans to suggest to the leaders of the GCC. I have mixed feelings about their stance. As I said, they were not always like they are now and it is also possible that they are already slightly moving away from the West.

I think the recent rapprochement with Iran, along with joining the BRICS, point toward the direction they want to take. But if they do so too soon--without enough 'groundwork' to absorb the shocks coming their way--then they should know the consequences for not only the rulers but also the relatively pampered, prosperous millions who inhabit those countries.

The modern Middle East, with the exception of Iran, but including even Turkey, is a chess-board setup by the Western victors after World War One. Those sitting in London, Washington, Brussels, Berlin are not stupid to not detect any significant deviation of the paths going forward many of the Arab nations had taken for decades. Add to it, the rabid dog Israel with its lethal weaponry and spy networks in that region, along with possibly 'files' on many leaders of that region.

The Turks are not much better than the Arabs in this conflict.

Buddy, I don't know to tell you this. They are increasing their investments in the West. Nobody is forcing them to do this. MBS will pump a TRILLION dollars in Western economies to build his Neom project which won't recoup its costs for at least a century if not two.

But I don't think they are doing it out of some 'love' for the West. Whatever gets the job done to 'diversify' their economies to reduce the reliance on oil, as fast as possible, would be ANY investor's path forward.

Let's put what I am saying in a very limited and simple scenario: While there is all the talk about divestment and boycott of Israel, is it even possible to significantly remove the reliance on companies/technologies/businesses where Israel doesn't benefit somehow? No, I don't think so. We can boycott Coca Cola or KFC but the next edible will eventually benefit those same corps who benefit 'the West' and even Israel. And actually, Israel does the same--indirectly puts $$ into the pockets of those, such as Qatar or even Iran, who fund the Palestinian resistance. These are the inevitable results of 'globalization'. We often hug those whom we want to kill.

Having said that, it is vulgar for Saudi Arabia to buy billions in weaponry which they can't use against anyone except the poor Houthis. It is vulgar for MBS to buy a $400+ million artwork.

Biden regime sends 1,800 mk-84 2,000lb bombs & 500 mk-82 500lb bombs to Zionist regime committing genocide in famine-struck Gaza

Each of these mk-84 bombs is capable of entirely levelling a large multi-story building. Now imagine what 1,800 of them will be used for. Likely will be used to massacre civilians and destroy all forms of infrastructure in Rafah and Lebanon. The US is complicit in this genocide.

USA is preparing Israel and arming it to escalate a war with Hezbollah and Lebanon, possibly in the near future. USA expected Israel to end Hamas and Gaza in a short span of time avoiding a global sympathy with Palestinians. Israel failed at it. American doctrine says Israel is untouchable and anyone hurting that American military outpost has to be destroyed making it a lesson for everyone else.

Military wise, Israel and USA's Achilles is the airforce.

So far Hezbollah has avoided to reveal its anti-airbase assets such as Fateh series of missiles. I guess those missiles are so sensitive to Hezbollah that they prefer to keep them for worst case scenario. Israeli warplanes have violated Lebanese airspace occasionally on purpose for multiple times. They are looking for launch sites of Fateh-110 inside Lebanon.

Obviously a missile like that is not a Katyusha to fire tens of them and then scape. Israel has been provoking Hezbollah with maximum caution. Hezbollah on the other hand has shown strategic patience.

USA under pressure accepted a ceasefire among Palestinians and its lapdog, I suspect those bombs are for Lebanon.

I suspect these GCC states are ok to bow down to whites but cannot bear to do the same with Asians like the Chinese.

They have to be careful of course, but they are perfectly at liberty to start investing in even relatively stable Muslim and fast growing Muslim countries like BD and Indonesia. Also they can accelerate investments in the next superpower China.

They should be "de-risking" from the west and moving investments to China and the "Global South".

You are right in that they seem to look up to whites and so with their money are just helping propagate this unjust white western domination of the planet.

Bolded part. I am not sure. On the contrary, there is increasing talk about holding back some of the weapons going to Israel and instead focusing on more defensive weaponry like the Iron Dome.
But you can never trust what the Americans and the Israelis say about the Middle East and part of that is because of the age old question: Is the dog wagging its tail or is it the tail wagging the dog!

Good post.
I think the real escalation will come if and when Beirut and Tel Aviv would be majorly attacked. That would indicate IF Israel was given the green light to escalate. So far, I don't think Americans want the war to escalate despite the Israeli attempts.

Christian nun in Lebanon prays for the Shiite Muslim fighters of Hezbollah. A furor ensues.

A video showing a Lebanese nun asking young students to pray for the “men of the resistance,” a reference to Hezbollah fighters, has sparked controversy in Lebanon

A video capturing Ziadeh’s comments was widely circulated online earlier this month, outraging some who accused her of “brainwashing” the children and imposing her political views. Others rallied to her support, commending her stance as courageous and honorable.

The war of words that unfolded highlighted larger, longstanding schisms in Lebanon over Hezbollah, now amplified by the Lebanon-Israel border clashes and by fears that an already crisis-hit Lebanon could be dragged into an all-out war.

“There are sharp (political) divisions over Hezbollah’s weapons,” said Sami Nader, director of the Institute of Political Science at Saint Joseph University of Beirut. And while there’s wide support for the Palestinian cause, he said, there are “differences over the degree of such support and how to provide it.”

Lebanon is home to multiple religious groups. Politically, the presidency is given to a Maronite Christian, the parliament speaker post to a Shiite Muslim and the prime minister's post to a Sunni Muslim

Although Hezbollah has alliances with figures from other religious groups, the base of its support lies in the Shiite community, while many Christians and Sunnis accuse the group of hijacking the country. The nun's speech generated added attention — and for some, furor— in particular because it came from a Christian religious figure.

In the recent video, Ziadeh called for praying for the “children, people and mothers of the south and ... for the men of the resistance,” describing those who fail to do so as “traitors,” a characterization that many found troubling, especially given the young age of her audience. Others saw a message of love in her call to pray for the people of southern Lebanon.

“In the south, there are students your age who say that ‘our only dreams are to protect our land,’” the nun told the children.

Then the naive masses in Lebanon have 2 options at the moment IMO - A Lebanon that has Hezbollah forces and weapons OR a Lebanon with part of its territory occupied by Israel- let them make their choice!

Israeli soldiers appear to lack discipline. And it seems they think insulting women makes them look cool.

Jordanian FM: "Weapons MUST stop flowing to Israel"

Traitorous Arab govts like Jordan have officials now saying the wrong thing, at the wrong time, for the wrong reason.

Why is Jordan's FM talking about "weapons must stop flowing to Israel" at this stage in the war when HIS COUNTRY is assisting Israel's genocide and not doing close to what it can actually do reduce Israel's disastrous abuse and war crimes on Gaza?

"Talking in support of Gaza" at this stage is too little and too late, and can be seen as pathetic depending on the capability the talking entity has to reduce or stop harm to Palestinians caused by Israel.
