This conflict did not make Iran look better or worse. But it did cause lots of people on both sides to align with Hamas's perspective. Especially on how Israel is the greatest threat in the region. And the greatest terrorist entity of our times.

If anything, Hamas helped try salvaging the region from their ways. Let's hope they don't revert to their pre-Toofan Al-Aqsa state.
 
Israel, sought with its slaughter of civilians, to make people forget the successes that people can have against the terrorist entity. It also made everyone forget how US rushed to its aid against a small besieged enclave. And how there were calls for NATO intervention. And how there was a full blown intervention of every sort, potentially including direct bombardment of civilians in Gaza.

Hamas's objectives with Toofan Al Aqsa:

-warn the enemy to get their hands off Jerusalem and stop attacking the Christian and Muslim holy sites
-Respond to massacres of Palestinians in the West Bank
-Respond to the siege of Gaza and send a message that a siege will lead to a explosion, and Palestinians should live a dignified life


Israel's objectives in Gaza (which are very clearly)

-Slaughter as many civilians as possible
-Starve the civilian population
-Destroy the health system
-Block humantarian aid from getting into Gaza
-Terrorise the civilian population of Gaza
-Destroy Gaza's infrastructure in its entirety
-Attempt to ethnically cleanse Gaza of its residents
