The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has brought an enormous radar blimp out of retirement to patrol its border with Lebanon.
The Sky Dew, a white high-altitude balloon which is used to detect missiles and drones, was retired in 2022 amid unspecified setbacks in its development.
But it has now been confirmed to be back in use after being photographed over northern Israel on Saturday.
The experimental blimp’s redeployment comes amid an uptick in clashes between Israel and Hezbollah on the Lebanon border.
The Iran-backed terror group said it launched 62 rockets on an IDF base in northern Israel on Saturday morning in revenge for the death of Hamas’s deputy political chief Saleh Al-Arouri in an Israeli air strike last week.

Israel has claimed to destroy Hamas in the North to a large extent.

From what I've been seeing and reading that seems to be a stretch. No media outlet has been able to verify these claims either. Attacks seem to be regular and the number of engagements don't seem to have dropped in North Gaza.

This seems like a political play to justify transitioning into a less destructive phase as the US's and EU's pressure ramps up against Israel.

Israel motivation of withdrawal was only financial because they thought why should we keep illegal settlements with 24/7 military protection in Gaza when we can go on West Bank and maintain these facilities with ease.
Surely they created drama for the world to see by showing that settlers weren't happy with moving but everyone is those two face cowards was happy.

Nobody deny that financial is the important consideration; but if Israel had thought that Gaza will be threat to their security then Israel would thought twice to be abandon for Palestine/Hamas.

Also why only look at Gaza? how about West bank area A & B that Israel has surrender to Palestine according to Oslo Accord? doesn't it prove that Israel want peace with Palestine?

The Palestinian population is now MORE then the Jews, so a endless occupation where the people resist is difficult, costly and has consequences like constantly conflict that will whittle away at the Israeli state

Even so West Bank was still considered strategic for Israel at that time, but Israel surrender it to Palestine for the peace agreement, showing their intention for peace.
