Loud explosions heard along the border between Israel and Lebanon. There is still no official information from the Israeli government indicating the invasion force and immediate strategic targets.

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari did not officially confirm or deny the start of the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, but he urged not to spread rumors or release images, videos or reports so as not to put the lives of soldiers at risk. When Israel invaded the Gaza Strip, he made a similar recommendation.

—Massive Israeli movements towards the Lebanese border.
----
Israeli airstrikes near Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut.

Israeli fighter jets break the sound barrier multiple times over southern Lebanon bordering Israel

Israeli M109A5 'Doher' 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzers are shelling positions inside Lebanon

Israel killed more prisoners than it freed
154 freed but 35 dead as per latest statistics. Maybe more but I don't know.

I don't think Netanyahu give much importance to hostages because he has refused to accept any proposal of Hamas in exchange for release of all hostages because Gaza is the bigger price in his political calculus.

:ROFLMAO:

They look really enthusiastic…… lots of “energy” for the fight ahead (not). There was a lot of jumping and singing at the start of the Gaza invasion- less so now… and even less with these lot it seems who have to go into Lebanon..

Most of those were freed in exchanges - not freed - right?

Probably ISO and not jamat-e-islami, since hzb and jamat are two opposite ideologies, jamat can rally for isis and al-qaeda, but not for hzb
You better need to update your knowledge Jamaat already protest for Hzb and also perform funeral prayer of Nasrullah by Ameer e Jamat Hafiz Naeem...

Israeli's threatening to destroy Lebanese civilian infrastructure in Beirut. To Israel, creating more displaced people = more pressure on Lebanon and Hezbollah.

.the idea is that they cause enough suffering to the people and this forces Hezbollah to step back

You have to remember regardless of the cost, if Hezbollah exists then it can rearm and plan and other forces can keep Israel constantly under attack and even random attack will make investment into Israel difficult

This is a total war and everything counts, Including what actions we take sitting around the world from putting pressure on companies, boycotting products, putting pressure on politicians and protest

You are taking on the western order not just the jews

Exactly THIS,

Israel has to at some point try to be a functional state that has normal concerns like economy and trade, not a state constantly under attack or being targeted and challenged by international law, boycott and protest

Even one missile, drone etc fired at tel Aviv now and then will create enough problems to scare investment away

I am not sure, mate. I did not check these stories. I will share relevant analysis with you, if I notice it.

most of those were released through negotiations not rescued by Israel

"As of 28 August 2024, 117 hostages had been returned alive to Israel, with 105 being released in a prisoner exchange deal, four released by Hamas unilaterally and eight rescued by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)."

117 total returned

105 / 117 released by Hamas in a temporary ceasefire deal

4 / 117 released by Hamas unilaterally

only 8 / 117 rescued by the IDF

many more than 8 killed by Israel. Thus, my point that Israel has killed more of its prisoners than it has rescued, remains correct.
