BUT Im beginning to think that the long term consequences for the resistance are greatly exaggerated. First of all, we have absolutely no clue what is going to be born out of the Syrian situation. The zionist entity spared NO time in moving in on Syrian lands to occupy and shot Syrian protestors. Such overreach is self defeating, and breathes life into resistance, and Iran may find new partnership in Syria. If not with official government, with groups in Syria with which it finds common interests, to fight against Zionist aggression.

I doubt any Syrian, whether secular or Jihadi, would let Israel rest in peace in the newly occupied land--which is supposed to be already three times the size of Gaza! But 'facts on the ground' are facts which can't be ignored. Israel is within a very short drive to Damascus now and also occupies the high peaks to overlook Lebanon and Syria. Already, per a report, one of five supply vehicle from Iran to Lebanon was successfully destroyed, so the new Israeli deployments would make the supplies much harder. And let's not bring in air or sea routes: Israel had targeted sea supplies to Lebanon/Syria before and would make air supplies impossible by destroying the Beirut Airport if need be. The Houthis in Yemen were supplied because they were not perceived a large threat to Israel--the Houthis may have served well the purpose of keeping Muslims fighting each other while the arms industry in America made untold billions from that conflict. But now the Houthis are a big target.
Having said all this... I don't see Israel finding peace despite its gains in Syria. Once a Jihadi, always a Jihadi. The CIA money may buy the leaders but the cadre of the Syrian resistance will turn against Israel before long. Bottomline: Israel will NOT find peace until it gives peace to the regional entities.

Pakistan is a VERY hostile nation against Israel and that leads to all kind of possibilities in the future. The little collaborations in the past you mentioned were small transactions mostly against the Soviets when the Islamic world and the West were on the same side.

Israel has not turned its attention to Pakistan yet because it is still unable to manage its own neighborhood, as this conflict shows. Then there is Iran.

Having said all this, I think India would not like to stir the hornets nest by collaborating with Israel on the attack on Pakistani nukes. India will face the consequences while Israel would watch from a distance, smugly.

We have just witnessed the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza, the expansion of the illegal occupation of Syrian terrority, the intentional massacre of civilians in Lebanon in response to military losses in South Lebanon. All cheered on by the USA.

There is now a clear and present threat to the security of Pakistan, and Pakistan has to now start to think about how to defend itself from that threat. Pakistan historically dismissed the Israeli threats as being "over there and nothing to do with us", but that over there is starting to become over here now as Israel sees Pakistan as a threat regardless of what Pakistan thinks.

Also, it is not in the interest of Pakistan to see Iran fall despite whatever differences Pakistan may have had in the past with Iran. After Iran, it will be Pakistan.

The first part is to put into place hypersonic missiles with MIRV technology as a deterrent, and then work to actively manage the Israel threat. The fact that Israel is complaining of this is because Israel has been it cannot defend itself against hypersonic missiles at all. Its defence shield does not work for those types of missiles and it can even be overwhelmed by conventional ballistic missiles.

In short, it is time to take the initiative and not ignore the threat to it anylonger, rather than being a passive bystander as there is a clear risk to Pakistan.

It was NEVER in the interests of Pakistan to see Iran fall. There are a few skirmishes between the two countries but after China it is still the least hostile border of Pakistan. Pakistani leadership--and Iranian leadership--is aware of the need to maintain good relations with each other. And if you watch the Sethi video carefully, he is alluding to Pakistani leadership secretly trying to enable Iran to acquire the nuclear technology but Pakistan was caught. Pakistan was not only trying to help Iran but also to help Pakistan by deflecting attention from Pakistan's nukes to Iran's nukes!! That was in the 90s.

Right. And I think that the recent American sanctions against Pakistan over the missile program is because Americans have detected Pakistan developing long range or more lethal missiles! In that sense, it is not be noted that Iran has advanced missile tech and there have been unusually high level of Pakistan and Iran interactions since this conflict began after October 2023. But Pakistan has to tread extremely carefully because of the near total dependence on America and its allies for the near-bankrupt economy.

I don't think its likely but it is possible if enough Western countries also back the idea. That said if they do go for it, they would move the entire population, not leave 100K people in Gaza.

Doesn't make any sense. If they play the cards right, they can have the settlements right in Syria. The parts abutting Israel with Druze are Israel friendly. More importantly, Syria proper itself may end up becoming Israel friendly. It is not written in the stars that Israel and all its Arab neighbors have to be permanently hostile. There is too much evidence that Arabs want to move on with life and not live in 1948 forever.

I disagree. Despite folklore in Pakistan that Israeli's are against Pakistan and fabled but imagined stories of Israeli jets taking off against Pakistan, they are broadly not.

In decades of Indian engagement with Pakistan, India has found that Israel is ok with Pakistan because it believes Pakistan will not target Israel and remain under US guidelines. There has even been off the books contact between Israel and Pakistan many many times and the relationship has remained cordial.

Now, if Pakistan wants to change this and become hostile, that is an active choice.
