Remember: A few weeks ago--probably mid December 2024--I had mentioned that Iran's retrenchment, the Fall of Assad, the ceasefire in Lebanon were all probably attributed to the upcoming Trump Presidency. You disagreed with me by saying things like Trump's other issues. But I still think what happened in the Middle East in last 5-6 weeks were directly linked to Trump taking the office. I am more inclined to give the credit to Hamas leadership and Netanyahu than Biden & Trump. Biden said this deal is what he proposed in May 2024. The only thing that seems to have changed is the additional destruction and casualties and changes to effectiveness/enthusiasm of Hezbollah and Iran. Plus, the changes in Syria might have had an impact too. Looks like Netanyahu figured he can't get any more concessions from Trump and decided to call it a day.

I'm seeing a lot of dejected faces replete with defeat on their faces. That they couldn't parade surrendered Palestinians with perhaps The Immortal Sinwar...
Or, jubilant prisoners of occupation and stumped Gazans...
Or, as we all know Miliekowsky's true intention of pushing Gazans into Sinai.

The jubilation on the faces of Gazans is heartening and bitter sweet.
