The Israeli Arabs form about 20% of the Israel's population and I have no problem saying, despite some discriminations, their standard of living is not bad. But that is a large minority without enough political rights. Compare their situation with the African American minority which is about 13% in America but with outsized political rights because, in America, not only there is attempt to redress the historic wrongs but also a realization that minorities must be empowered for a healthy and prosperous society.
Israel, on the other hand, gives lollipops to the Israeli Arabs. Why so? Because Israel is a deeply religio-ethnic supremacist country. That's the root cause of the problem between Israel versus the Palestinians and that's something Israel's own Gideon Levy of Haaretz always says.
