I’ve already stated that Israel needs to start being held accountable for their actions by the West. Any actions that hinders peace should be a red flag with consequences such as illegal settlement activity for example. No lip service but actual consequences.
As far as this war, both sides need to release hostages because there are thousands of Palestinians in Israeli jails with no charges or falsified charges. There are many ways to keep the peace and it all starts with the oppression, humiliation, standard of living, blockades, checkpoints restricting movement, hindering of economy, etc that Palestinians face that need to be addressed (Both in the West Bank and Gaza). The solution is rather simple but unfortunately Israel does not want to treat Palestinians humanely. They want to make their life so unbearable so Palestinians will leave their homeland so they can steal the rest of Palestine. Oppression breeds resistance, Palestinians do not resist for the sake of it but for the subjection and humiliation they face. I can name a million things of what needs to be and can be done.
The issue is that Israel is not a partner for peace, it wants the entirety of Palestine. It needs to be forced too and there are many steps that can be done by the West and the world to ensure Israel comply with international law and stop hindering a Palestinian state. I don’t see Israel as a honest partner for peace because I believe Israel’s end goal is the entirety of Palestine. I can point to all the illegal settlement activity, home demolishing ,destruction of Palestinian economy, etc to show that. All I know is that changes need to be done with their treatment of Palestinians and the actions they have been taken against the Palestinian people. I can list a million things that can be done and even implantation of ideas for peace, 2 states, 1 states , etc. it’s all pointless till the facts on the ground and the realties Palestinians face Everyday change.
