This is the criminal behavior of India that it is trying to distract from with the recent reconciliatory gestures towards Pakistan. They want the India Pakistan dialogue and international attention to be on anything except the IWT.

They are following the Israeli pattern of rejecting everything

"Illegally constituted so called court of arbitration".

We look forward to further declarations of fact from the deeply knowledgeable nation to our east.

The IWT is really a thorny issue for Pakistan.

It will need a great undertaking by the government, establishment to get India into abiding by the IWT.

Pakistan needs to come up with creative ideas. As the BJP/RSS brigade want nothing but complete capitulation of Pakistan.

Aggressive posture required diplomatically and internally.

Sharing and discussing of what steps can Pakistan take will be fruitful.

Ideas welcome, not the full retard ones such as bombing of dams etc etc.

Pakistan-India relationship will have a major reset but only after a full scale war, after 2 skirmishes Indians still don't get the memo and still using the same Rhetoric, and its not going go away until a major war breaks out with wide scale destruction, and after we get calm after the storm, it will be the same the war will break out, international power breaks a cease-fire with new agreements and treaties, and we will go back to neutral relations. As for Indians rejecting the courts decisions they start thinking themselves as Israel or America, if the Water levels gets dangerously low for Pakistan, we know that few Indian Dams are getting blown off, you push a nuclear Power and deny Water to 250 million people you will face the same treatment.

EDITORIAL: The Permanent Court of Arbitration’s supplemental award on Islamabad’s decade-old petition challenging the design specifications of two Indian hydropower projects on rivers allocated to Pakistan under the Indus Waters Treaty is a definitive affirmation of the supremacy of international law over unilateral state actions.

It places India in an increasingly untenable position — legally, diplomatically, and perhaps important, morally. The ruling removes whatever ambiguity India has been trying to exploit. By reaffirming that the IWT remains binding on both parties and that neither can unilaterally suspend it, the decision closes the door on India’s irrational position that it can arbitrarily hold the treaty “in abeyance”.

More significantly, the tribunal has constrained India’s ability to control the western rivers in ways that disadvantage Pakistan’s downstream entitlement by declaring that maximum pondage must be justified by actual operational necessity — such as site hydrology, hydraulic conditions and power system requirements.

Key Takeaways

  • The IWT (1960) originally allocated eastern rivers (Ravi, Beas, Sutlej) to India and western rivers (Indus, Jhelum, Chenab) to Pakistan.
  • The latest dispute centers on hydropower projects in Jammu & Kashmir.
  • India’s suspension of the treaty marks a major shift in water diplomacy, effectively sidelining international arbitration.
  • Pakistan may continue to pursue diplomatic and legal avenues, but India’s rejection means rulings have no practical enforcement.

👉 In short: India has rejected the latest Hague tribunal ruling and insists it is not bound by the Indus Waters Treaty until Pakistan ends support for terrorism. The treaty remains in abeyance, and India is proceeding with its projects despite Pakistan’s objections.
