Does china care about downstream nations when building dam on Brahmaputra?
It is new norm for Pakistan, Pakistan should adopt to the situation, make more dams to utilize water.
India will build same as china.
Crying about China when India has commenced this water war by herself and entirely voluntarily?

"New normal" for your nation of illiterate chest thumpers is a straightforward violation of the UN
Convention on the Law of the Non-navigational Uses of
International Watercourses (1997), as well as the IWT.

Why do you people think you can just deploy anything you wish as a "weapon" against our civilians? Are you born thinking this way or is it some religious indoctrination that permits this frame of mind? No matter what the cause - your attempts at "new normal" have never really worked since 1947. It has been over 75 years now - you will have to start accepting the existence of Pakistan sooner rather than later, lest your own existence becomes threatened.

This is from the UN, not the IWT (go and read the whole thing, as every other article is of relevance to your pea sized brains, but these are just a selection in the interests of brevity):

"Article 27
Prevention and mitigation of harmful conditions.
Watercourse States shall, individually and, where appropriate, jointly, take all appropriate
measures to prevent or mitigate conditions related to an international watercourse that may be harmful to
other watercourse States, whether resulting from natural causes or human conduct, such as flood or ice
conditions, water-borne diseases, siltation, erosion, salt-water intrusion, drought or desertification."

"Article 29
International watercourses and installations
in time of armed conflict
International watercourses and related installations, facilities and other works shall enjoy the
protection accorded by the principles and rules of international law applicable in international and non -
international armed conflict and shall not be used in violation of those principles and rules.

Article 30
Indirect procedures
In cases where there are serious obstacles to direct contacts between watercourse States, the States
concerned shall fulfil their obligations of cooperation provided for in the present Convention, including
exchange of data and information, notification, communication, consultations and negotiations, through
any indirect procedure accepted by them."

India will build same as china.
In May 2025, India cut off water to Pakistan and then suddenly released it. This seriously violates international law.

In July 2025, the Yarlung Zangbo River Hydropower Station in China officially started construction. Indian media stated that they are not currently worried.

India is using water resources as a weapon and has crossed a 'red line.' You need to understand the sequence of these two events. India has no right to criticize China regarding water resources.

You are so quick to blame China—does India still want to use water resources as a weapon? That makes building dams even more necessary. If dams are built within India, and they continue to use water cuts to threaten other countries, I believe the river will change its course.

bramhaputra is not really pakistan's concern.

this issue will be dealt with by china india, and bangladesh.

not really worried about that dam to be honest, it can't "drip bramhaputra to a trickle"

even if it could, i dont think china takes marching orders from pakistan

the treaty was put in abeyance prior to the conflict. why not "fight to win" then? i think cessation of hostilities is acceptance of status quo.
He he he
Yes yes 🙂↕️

>chinese quoting international law

lmao

i don't think $137 biillion dam projects are predicated on what india does vis-a-vis Pakistan. you would have built it anyway. and that's fine, we don't want a "right to criticize"

we want water from the chenab and we will get it.

China will 'work' over India good over water. Just have a little patience.

bramhaputra for chenab is a good trade

we're fine with it.

if china wants to punish bangladesh they are welcome to it.

Oh it's a lot more than the bramhaputra hahaha. Think Ganges and Sutlej and you should be worried.
No need to quote me, be confident in Modi.

Clean up the disgusting river you have first before expecting favours from your neighbours. Your relentless population overgrowth and state of uncleanliness is a threat to civilised life.

unfortunately,

IWT will still be in abeyance and you will have 20-30% less water in the Chenab. You will have to make do
