There is no doubt that JF-17 can carry 4 PL-15 but it will perform better in a fight with lesser load of 2. Depending on the mission, the decision can be taken for 4 but generally it is better to keep it as light as possible for more loitering time and other added advantages.

So a Thunder carrying 4 missiles instead of 2 will look cool
But carrying 4 will reduce the missiles life , for all 4 .
Doesn't the missile have a set captive carry time before requirement of a full or partial overhaul?
Because during flight under the wings of an aircraft the missiles and it's all systems have to endure vibrations, G forces and extreme temperature changes ?

I wasn't talking about missile life but JF-17's performance in combat. It is a light fighter with less fuel and more weight will affect climb rate, range and agility etc. So the better configuration depends on the situation and requirement of mission.
J-10C can carry more than 4 PL-15 but we have seen standard A2A configuration with 4 PL-15 and 2 PL-10.

Well five are flying in Azerbaijan, at least for now. Let us see how they fare in the long term.

Maybe they will be able to use them just as well as PAF, and that would be an indication that Pakistan is pulling together its act after a buggy start, as @Oscar indicated.

Sorry, reputable media companies do not work like that. There are many people who have to sign off and articles and many sources that get verfied. A few Indians working there would risk their jobs for what? Granted there may be some bias in the way some things are reported or left out, but anyone who has any idea of media companies can tell you Reuters is very solid
