JF-17 - Updates, News & Discussion

Another key feature of JF 17 is its block building approach and weapons integration from diverse sources. This is a big flexibility for users.

Any idea how many PAF block-2 Bravos have been/are transferred to the Azeri Air Force?

Could the transfer be on lease or they're likely to be permanent, sold articles?

Out of the 26 Bravos that were built, one had crashed (20-614). How many could/would Azerbaijan possibly need for a total fleet of 40 JF-17 Thunders?

PAF's current fleet size = 152
(Original requirement was to have a fleet of 150).

New JF-17B Thunder dual-seat variant in service with Azerbaijan’s Air Force, as they train their pilots for the single-seat JF-17C Block III multirole fighters purchased from Pakistan.

New? So not from PAF's existing fleet of B models?
Actually that bravo is from PAF's existing fleet. PAF 20-613 > AAF 20-5131000138640.jpg1000138761.jpg
I'm assuming here this is a training unit transfer until Azeri Jeffs are ready. I'm not sure if Bravo block 3 has gone into production but someone more knowledgeable here can answer that question
