The B version provided to Azerbaijan are configured to carry all the blk 3 goodies including pl10e extended wingtip rails and dual racks for sd10a/ pl15e mraams. The Bs by default features much of the tech used in blk 3s anyway including triplex full authority FBW, strengthened wings with enhanced ew suite and an onboard jammer that can be supplemented with kg600/AWC Panjnad pod.

100%. The facility was established in PAF Faisal, Karachi many years ago. No need to send them to Russians like the Indians.

Does anyone know how many Block 2s we sold them?

We don't send engines to Russia for MRO, they are infact manufactured at HAL Koraput.

I see both block 2 and 3 fly together quite often these days and trust me the turbine sound is vastly different. Block 2 pierces ears and induces typical 93s whistle at military thrust while blk 3 sounds similar to the Garrett equipped K-8.

Not 2 but 3. I think the order is for 40 we delivered 6 so 34 remain. Production of 3 has been increased since two years.

Does anyone know how many Block 2s we sold them?

Yep. They're ex-PAF aircraft.
